Diary,
Mum was able to reach dad through a kind woman's cellphone and he sent some money and we were able to stay in a hotel for a week while they planned how we'll all go to meet the rest of my family in Groundane.
God was still faithful to us throughout our stay in Woodlane. We finally had a long, warm bath after so long! Eleni's zeal and hunger for God was tangible and encouraging as we all taught her a lot the past days, we also had a sweet cooked meal after so long! Like, I totally understand how some things we had considered easy to come by like food was way more important than we knew.
Three weeks later, we eventually travelled to Groundane! All of us and I was so thrilled to see my family and friends reunite once more. Dad, Mum, Josephine- my lil sis, Grandma- dad's mum and Aunt Isabella visited us the next day, after we had all settled in. We saw Carl and Jamie too. I was so excited and content to see us all, enjoying a home cooked dinner together on the huge dining table. Dad was better, he had totally healed from his sickness and my kid sister had started school. Mum helped Anaia get a job at a tourist attraction centre and she was more than thrilled while they processed our University documents- Tony and I were finally going to uni!
I really can't remember, unless I flip through all the pages of my diary, to find a day where I was so excited. Well, I'm forever grateful to God.
Then, Tony's aunt and Uncle were contacted and they immediately asked Tony and his siblings to come live with them, in a neighboring city- Root city where they lived comfortably with their businesses. They were so sober and repentant about leaving them behind and chasing their selfish ambitions only. Lissa was ecstatic, it took a while but Tony and Anaia eventually gave in and they forgave their Uncle and Aunt.
My Mum also had to come clean to my dad, about my true father and all and even though it saddened me to realise that such a lovely, godly man wasn't my real father, I was still glad I had him in my life. Even though I feared rejection, and it took a while for him to process the news and all, he still welcomed me with open arms and I would forever see him as my father.
Overall, I'm so glad to get into uni and I'm grateful to God for seeing us through those battles and giving us victory. And oh! Eleni also got a job at Lissa's Aunt's Fashion boutique. She was really grateful.
Good night diary,
My books's finished...
*sniffs*
But I'm definitely going to get a new one! Till then, this book still remains dear to my heart as it'll always remind me of how God strengthened my faith through those tough times. It also makes me understand that nothing, absolutely nothing can separate me from the love of Christ.
