THE LETTER

Ares was going through the financial report for the first quarter of the year, when he heard a knock on the door.

He waited patiently for whoever it was to come in.

If they couldn't come in, it would only mean they weren't supposed to be present in the first place.

The door opened immediately after the knock came, and the sound of echoing footsteps reached his ears.

He could always tell who was who, by the aura their presence brought.

"What do you want, Xan?" He asked without looking up from his computer.

"Ava successfully left," he answered.

"Water is wet," he said sarcastically.

"Eric left too. With a message from us. Now I'm curious about the other guy. What are we going to do with him?" He questioned, drawing further into the room.

"Keep him as a prisoner for the meantime. He'll send a different message soon. What else?"

"Sullivan," Xander cautiously mentioned.
