Chapter 1: Beginning of Training

When John Doe arrived at Kame House, located deep in the ocean, in his plane, it was just in time for dinner.

The sound of the plane startled Master Roshi, Goku, Krillin, and Launch, who were eating inside the house. They put down their bowls and chopsticks and rushed out.

Goku, upon seeing John Doe, exclaimed happily, "Haha, John Doe, you're here!"

Krillin, on the other hand, seemed indifferent and shrugged, unsure why John Doe was there. Launch, with her blue hair, looked on curiously.

John Doe greeted Goku and then approached Master Roshi, bowing slightly and saying, "Master Wutian, I'd like to start learning martial arts from you today."

Master Roshi looked at John Doe and noticed that his physical attributes had significantly improved since the last time he saw him. Even Goku, whom he considered a prodigy, seemed to pale in comparison.

Of course, physical attributes weren't the sole determinant of future martial arts prowess, but they were undoubtedly the most crucial factor.

Since he had already agreed to take John Doe as his disciple, Master Roshi wouldn't go back on his word. However, this didn't mean he would easily accept John Doe as his student. He turned to the others and said, "You guys go back inside and continue eating. I need to talk to John Doe."

Master Roshi pulled John Doe aside and asked, "Did you bring a gift for your apprenticeship?"

"I can tell you right now, if you didn't bring a gift, I won't accept you as my disciple and teach you martial arts."

John Doe was speechless. He had delayed his arrival to avoid bringing a girl for Master Roshi, but it seemed he couldn't escape this request.

Fortunately, John Doe had prepared some gifts just in case. He said, "Master, wait a moment, I'll get it for you."

John Doe went to the plane, took out a package, and from it, he retrieved a Capsule. He handed the Capsule to Master Roshi.

"Master, this is a gift I specially prepared for you. It's something that all men would like. You know what I mean!" John Doe winked at Master Roshi.

Master Roshi took the Capsule from John Doe and said suggestively, "You really understand what I want. Age does bring wisdom. Compared to you, Goku is too naive."

Master Roshi put the Capsule in his pocket and said to John Doe, "Let's go. Pack up your plane and luggage, and we'll go inside for dinner."

Seeing that Master Roshi had finally agreed to take him as a disciple, John Doe happily agreed. He transformed the plane back into a Capsule and placed it in the Capsule box, carrying his luggage as he followed Master Roshi into the house.

The next day, after breakfast, Master Roshi cleaned up the house and transformed it into a Capsule. He then took John Doe, Goku, and Krillin on an air cushion boat to a nearby large island.

Launch stayed behind to prepare dinner, while Master Roshi took the others out and said, "Before we begin our formal training, I need to test you."

He looked around the area and pointed to a stone in front of him, saying, "The distance from this stone to that tree is about a hundred meters. I want to test your speed."

"Speed is crucial. If you can defeat your opponent, but they try to escape, you need to be fast enough to catch up with them. If you can't defeat your opponent, being fast enough to escape their pursuit is essential. Only by staying alive can you become a martial artist."

"Who wants to go first?" Master Roshi asked, looking at John Doe and the others.

Krillin confidently stepped forward and positioned himself at the base of the tree.

Master Roshi took out a stopwatch and shouted, "Begin!"

As soon as Master Roshi gave the signal, Krillin sprinted through the hundred-meter distance, and Master Roshi noted the time, saying, "Ten seconds and four-tenths. Not bad."

Krillin proudly said, "My best time is ten seconds and one-tenth."

Next up was Goku, whose starting posture was far from standard, but he ran the distance in an astonishing eight seconds and five-tenths, breaking the existing human record for the 100-meter dash.

Not only was Krillin surprised, but even Master Roshi was amazed that such a young child could run so fast.

Finally, it was John Doe's turn. He wanted to test his speed with his new body.

John Doe positioned himself and, at Master Roshi's signal, sprinted through the course. With a "whoosh," he crossed the finish line, and Master Roshi noted the time: eight seconds.

This left Goku and Krillin in awe, especially Goku, who knew that John Doe had been weaker than him before.

Seeing that his new disciples were satisfied with their speed, Master Roshi felt the need to set a new goal for them. He said, "John Doe, you keep track of the time, and I'll show you what I can do."

Master Roshi removed his heavy turtle shell and walked to the hundred-meter mark. At John Doe's signal, Master Roshi sprinted through the course with incredible speed.

John Doe checked the time, and it was five seconds and six-tenths, an impressive feat. Krillin and Goku looked at Master Roshi with admiration.

Master Roshi smiled and said, "You see, this is the speed that surpasses ordinary humans. In the next few months of training, I'll temper your willpower and strengthen your bodies until you can surpass me."

Krillin, full of anticipation, asked Master Roshi, "Master, can we really surpass you?"

Master Roshi replied, "Of course. I have confidence in you, and you should have confidence in yourselves. Starting tomorrow, we'll begin our formal training."

As the sky gradually darkened, Master Roshi said, "It's getting late. We should prepare to go back for dinner, but before that, we need to do a small test."

Master Roshi picked up a stone, wrote the character 'turtle' on it, and threw it towards the forest below the cliff. He said, "You guys go down and find the stone with the writing on it. You have thirty minutes. The first one to find it will get to eat dinner. Those who can't find it or exceed the time limit will go hungry."

Without waiting for their response, Master Roshi happily headed back to Kame House.

Looking at the steep cliff, Goku and John Doe exchanged glances and simultaneously jumped off the cliff.

Krillin, on the other hand, chose to take the long way around. In his eyes, the other two were crazy, and he was just an ordinary human.
