Chapter 26: Krillin vs. The Vampire

Upon hearing Goku's words, Fortuneteller Baba slid down from the crystal ball, barely managing to hold on with her short arms to avoid falling to the ground.

Embarrassed by Goku's comment, Bulma quickly covered his mouth to stop him from speaking further.

Fortuneteller Baba climbed back onto the crystal ball and said to Master Roshi, "This is the kind of disciple you have. Just like you, a pervert from a young age."

Master Roshi's face turned red with embarrassment, unsure of how to respond.

John Doe stepped forward and said to Fortuneteller Baba, "Fortuneteller Baba, we'd like to ask for your help in finding the last Dragon Ball."

"Of course, I can help. But you should know my conditions. What's your choice?" Fortuneteller Baba asked.

"We choose to challenge your five warriors," John replied.

Fortuneteller Baba nodded and said, "Alright, no problem. Follow me to the arena."

Soon, Fortuneteller Baba led them to a large circular arena and said, "I have five fighters on my side. You can also send out five people. We'll take turns fighting, and if you defeat my five warriors, I'll provide a free fortune-telling."

"What are the rules?" Yamcha asked.

"The rules are the same as the World Martial Arts Tournament. The match ends when someone falls out of the arena or surrenders," Fortuneteller Baba explained.

Krillin, brimming with confidence, stepped forward and said, "That's easy. Can we start now?"

Fortuneteller Baba smiled and said, "Of course, we can start. Come out, my first warrior."

A bat flew out from the depths of the palace and transformed into a man as it landed on the arena. Fortuneteller Baba's first warrior was a vampire.

Krillin confidently stepped onto the arena and declared, "Alright, I'll take on the first opponent."

Scanning the arena, Krillin said, "I miss the days of the World Martial Arts Tournament. It's been a while since I fought anyone. I feel like my skills are getting rusty."

"Can we start now?" Krillin asked Fortuneteller Baba.

"Of course," Fortuneteller Baba shouted. "Begin the match!"

Krillin assumed a fighting stance and prepared to attack the vampire warrior. However, just as he was about to strike, the vampire began performing a ritual, bowing in all directions.

Krillin, not one to take advantage, paused his attack and waited for the vampire to finish the ritual.

But Krillin's honesty was not reciprocated. As he let his guard down, the vampire warrior kicked him to the side and followed up with a series of left and right hooks, forcing Krillin to retreat.

Realizing that his punches weren't causing much damage to Krillin, the vampire temporarily stopped attacking.

Although caught off guard, Krillin remained confident. "Your side kicks and jabs can't hurt me. I've trained for this," he said.

"Now it's my turn." Krillin launched a punch towards the vampire warrior, but the vampire started another ritual.

This time, Krillin ignored it and disrupted the ritual with his attack.

The vampire warrior jumped into the air to dodge Krillin's punch.

Krillin was delighted and shouted, "Stupid! Jumping into the air makes you an easy target! You're just asking to be hit!" He followed up with an aerial kick towards the vampire.

Just as Krillin was about to make contact, the vampire transformed back into a bat and flew away.

Krillin's attack missed, and he continued to miss in subsequent attempts as the vampire, now in bat form with wings, evaded his attacks with ease.

After several spins and turns, Krillin lost his sense of direction, leaving himself open to an attack.

The vampire warrior, in human form again, pounced on Krillin from behind and clung to him, sinking his sharp teeth into Krillin's bald head and sucking his blood.

The spectators around the arena gasped in shock, and Master Roshi sighed, "Krillin has lost."

Everyone urged Krillin to concede, but he refused. The thought of his earlier display on the arena made him even more determined not to give up, as it would be too embarrassing.

The vampire warrior held onto Krillin tightly, refusing to let go. Krillin, with the vampire on his back, frantically ran around the arena.

No matter how fast Krillin ran, he couldn't shake off the vampire. Finally, Krillin jumped and flipped, landing on his head on the arena floor.

Krillin struggled to get back up, his anger evident. "Damn you! I'll beat you!"

The vampire warrior wiped the blood from his mouth and said, "The blood of children is so sweet. I wish I could do this again!"

Krillin's anger surged, and blood spurted from the wound on his head.

Yamcha quickly advised Krillin, "Krillin, don't get angry, or you'll bleed out."

Realizing his situation, Krillin began chanting, "Namu Amida Butsu..." After a few repetitions, he managed to calm himself down.

However, Goku, noticing the blood on Krillin's head, cheerfully said, "Krillin, it looks like you're growing hair."

Krillin, who had just regained his composure, was infuriated again by Goku's comment. The wound on his head, which had stopped bleeding, began to gush with blood once more.

This time, the blood loss was the final straw for Krillin. He felt dizzy and lightheaded, clearly lacking the strength to continue fighting.

Without waiting for the vampire warrior to attack, John shouted, "We concede this match!" He stepped onto the arena and carried Krillin down.

The ghost servant quickly administered a blood transfusion to Krillin, and his pale face regained some color.
