Chapter 5: Lonely Uchiha

Chapter 5: Lonely Uchiha

As evening fell, Sasuke made his way back to his apartment, guided by the memories of the original Sasuke. Walking through Konoha, he noticed the villagers staring at him. Though their glares weren't as intense as those directed at Naruto, the dislike was still clear.

"Look, it's him—the last Uchiha," a voice whispered. Sasuke felt the weight of their judgment.

"The Uchiha clan... always acting superior, arresting people over the smallest things," another person muttered. "They never cared about anyone's opinions. It's no wonder they were wiped out."

Many villagers harbored resentment towards the Uchiha, known for their prideful and arrogant demeanor. The clan frequently arrested people for minor offenses, which bred deep-seated animosity. Some even murmured that the Uchiha massacre was justified. Sasuke remembered from the anime how the original Sasuke felt ostracized by the villagers, but now he truly felt the sting of that rejection.

Reaching his apartment, Sasuke sighed as he opened the door. The small, cramped space felt lonely. He washed up, scrubbing away the dust of the day, and then headed to the kitchen. He opened the refrigerator, finding a few vegetables. Using what he had, he cooked a simple meal, following the routine familiar from the original Sasuke's memories.

As he ate in silence, Sasuke started to understand the loneliness the original Sasuke endured. Living alone, with no family or elders to care for him, most of the villagers looked at him with suspicion and slight hatred for being a Uchiha. At school, the girls fawned over him, but it felt superficial. Despite all the attention, he experienced a profound sense of isolation. There wasn't a single person who genuinely understood or connected with him.

Lying down in bed, Sasuke stared at the ceiling, the emptiness of the apartment weighing heavily on him. He thought of original Sasuke's parents—how, despite his father's strictness, there was still a sense of care. Images of the original Sasuke's family flooded his mind, and he suddenly felt a pang of sadness. Having been an orphan in his past life, he understood the pain of being alone. Now he also understood the love that fueled the original Sasuke's hatred for his brother, Itachi.

He couldn't sleep, so he decided to check his status panel and skills. "Status," he said aloud.

A series of notifications appeared before him.

[ Ding! You leveled up! ]

He was greeted by notifications once he opened his status panel.

[ Name: Sasuke Uchiha

Title: Last Uchiha, Genius Uchiha

Level: 7

HP: 142

Chakra: 99 ]

"Level directly showcases strength. Sometimes, with great skill or strategy, a lower-level person can defeat a higher-level one—though not by much. After all, Naruto was able to tie with me even though he was only level 2. Meanwhile, HP and chakra are self-explanatory."

Sasuke wondered why his chakra had only increased by 3 points, even though he had leveled up three times. 'Why didn't my chakra increase?' he pondered when another window appeared.

[ Level: Describes the approximate power level of a person. It increases as the person's power grows. The level can also increase if the person becomes skilled in using chakra. (Level doesn't increase if only chakra increases.)

Chakra: Indicates the total amount of chakra. The chakra doesn't increase by leveling up but by practicing the chakra molding technique. ]

"I see. This explains why Naruto's level is so low even though his chakra is so high; he must master the use of his chakra if he wants to level up quickly." Sasuke understood that he had to increase his chakra by personally fusing physical and spiritual energy using the chakra molding technique.

He then navigated to the skill panel.

[ Skills:

Observe {Level Max}: Allows the user to check another person's status.

Basic Taijutsu {Level 4 / Max Level: 10}: Fundamental hand-to-hand combat techniques. (Includes Uchiha Taijutsu Style)

Intermediate Shurikenjutsu {Level 5 / Max Level: 10}: Intermediate skill in throwing shuriken and other projectiles like kunai. (Includes Uchiha Style Shurikenjutsu)

Hand Seals {Level 1}: The skill of performing hand seals quickly and accurately to execute jutsu. One hand seal per second at level 1.

Ninjutsu:

First Style Conversion {Level Max}: A foundational ninjutsu technique that allows the user to convert chakra into fire style for first style jutsu.

Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu {C Rank} {Level 2 / Max Level: 5}: A powerful fire-based attack that releases a large fireball towards the target. Higher levels increase the fireball's size and intensity. Can increase the power of the jutsu by pumping more chakra.

Chakra Molding {Level Max}: The ability to mold chakra effectively, essential for executing various jutsu. Mastery increases the efficiency and potency of chakra usage.

Bloodline Skill: One-Tomoe Sharingan: A unique ability of the Uchiha clan that grants enhanced perception, genjutsu capabilities, and heightened reflexes. ]

"Observe, huh?" Sasuke muttered, his eyes narrowing as he scanned the description. "Allows the user to check another person's status."

He then glanced at Basic Taijutsu and Chakra Molding, thinking they were self-explanatory.

He noted that Basic Taijutsu also contained Uchiha Taijutsu style.

"Intermediate Shurikenjutsu, huh? The Uchiha clan's specialty…" Sasuke smiled when he looked at Shurikenjutsu. He remembered how the original Sasuke could effortlessly manipulate shuriken in combat, even using them in conjunction with wires and traps. "Looks like I'll have to work hard to reach that level."

As he glanced through his ninjutsu skills, his eyes lingered on Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu.

"Looks like Sasuke already went through fire elemental training to learn this. It's Level 2 already… Not bad," he muttered, recalling how Sasuke first performed it to prove himself to his father.

Then there was the Hand Seals skill, still at Level 1. He frowned. "One seal per second… Not fast enough." He made a mental note to practice diligently. Sasuke knew that hand seals were crucial in battle, and he couldn't afford to be slow if he wanted to compete with stronger shinobi.

"One-Tomoe Sharingan…" Sasuke recalled how the original Sasuke awakened it in the anime, witnessing Itachi kill their parents. He wanted to test the Sharingan right away but suppressed the urge, knowing he might be watched. If Danzo spotted it, he could be in serious trouble. The situation wasn't dire; Itachi had warned Danzo not to harm Sasuke, but he didn't want to take any risks.

"Well then, let's try chakra molding to see if I can increase my chakra level." Sasuke quickly sat cross-legged and began to meditate.

'Chakra is a combination of physical and spiritual energy,' he reminded himself as he instinctively molded chakra, guided by Sasuke's memories.

He stopped when the system notifications ceased. His body felt warm and full. 'So, I can only increase more chakra if I grow stronger or as I physically grow older,' he realized, satisfied with the results.

He pulled up the status panel once again.

[ Name: Sasuke Uchiha

"So, this is my current chakra limit." He felt a sense of accomplishment as he increased his chakra pool.

He then wanted to do something every kid dreams of—using ninjutsu. Sasuke walked through the empty streets of Konoha, the moonlight casting long shadows across the village. It was past midnight, and the silence of the village made every step echo as he made his way to the training grounds. The memories of the original Sasuke guided him, reminding him of this secluded spot where he could practice without being disturbed.

He reached the training grounds, feeling the cool night breeze against his skin. The place was quiet, the perfect environment for what he had in mind. Sasuke stood in the center of the clearing, his eyes narrowing with determination. He was ready to try out one of the most iconic jutsu of the Uchiha clan.

"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu," he whispered, focusing his chakra. His hands moved quickly, forming the seals with precision according to his memories. He felt the chakra surge within him, converting into fire chakra as it gathered in his mouth. He released the technique, and a large, blazing fireball shot forward, lighting up the dark night. The flames roared, burning the grass pitch black as it collided with the earth.

Sasuke watched in awe, a grin spreading across his face. The fireball was powerful, more than he had expected. For a moment, he let his inner child feel the excitement— he had just performed a real fire-style jutsu, and it felt incredible.

"This… is incredible," Sasuke muttered, astonished.

His excitement was palpable; the thrill of wielding such power filled him with motivation. The success of the jutsu reminded him that he had truly entered a world where he could grow and become stronger, just like the characters he had admired in the anime.

Sasuke couldn't resist the urge to continue. He formed the hand seals again. "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" he declared, his voice steady and filled with confidence.

Another fireball shot forth, illuminating the area as it burned brightly. The ground sizzled beneath the flames, and the heat radiated outward, warming his face.

He repeated the process yet again.

"Not enough chakra for another… not bad for my first time," he thought, satisfied. He planned to keep practicing tomorrow, understanding that it was not bad for a seven-year-old.

He quickly returned to his house, feeling tired and with nothing more to do. Sasuke washed up and then jumped onto his bed. He quickly fell asleep, exhausted from the day, and his dreams were filled with pleasant visions.
