"Friends meets a friend"

Miro braced himself for another outburst, another wave of anger. But to his surprise, Luna spoke, her voice quiet and almost soft. "I forgive you," she said, her eyes meeting his. "But you really hurt me, you know? I wasn't sure if you were going to shut me out for good."

Miro felt a rush of relief and happiness at Luna's words. He couldn't believe she had forgiven him so easily, after the way he had treated her. A small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "You... you forgive me?" he repeated, his voice hopeful. "Yes, you idiot," Luna said, a hint of a smile on her face. "But don't think this means we're instantly back to normal. You still have a lot to make up for."

Miro didn't hesitate. Without thinking, he lunged forward, enveloping Luna in a tight hug. He buried his face in her shoulder, his arms closing around her in a tight embrace. He held her tightly, feeling the tension and the hurt melt away as her body relaxed against his. The familiar scent of her hair filled his senses, and for a moment, all else faded away. He'd missed her, more than he realized, and he didn't ever want to let her go.

"I missed you," he murmured into her hair, his voice hoarse with emotion. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. I was an idiot, Luna. I don't ever want to lose you again."

Luna was taken aback at his sudden display of affection, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she wrapped her arms around him, returning his hug. "I missed you too, you jerk," she said, her voice a little shaky. "Don't you dare ever pull that stunt again."

Miro chuckled weakly, his voice muffled by her hair. "Promise," he mumbled, holding her a little tighter. "I promise I'll never avoid you again. I'll always talk to you, no matter how mad you get at me."

"You better, or I'll knock some sense into you," Luna threatened, but there was no heat behind her words. In fact, she was the one holding onto him tighter now, her arms wrapped around his waist. Miro felt the last of his tension drain away, a sense of contentment washing over him. They stayed like that for a moment, holding each other in the dimly lit room. The argument was behind them now, and they were back on good terms, or at least getting there.

The next morning dawned bright and clear, the sun streaming in through the windows of the dorm room. Miro woke up feeling much better than the previous day. The weight of guilt and worry he had been carrying was gone, replaced by a sense of relief and newfound resolution.

He glanced over at the bed next to his, hoping to see Luna's familiar form stirring there. But her bed was empty, the covers thrown back and sheets crumpled. She must already be up and about. Miro yawned, stretching and sitting up in bed. He glanced at the clock, noting that it was still fairly early. He contemplated going back to sleep, but he decided against it. He wanted to see Luna, to talk to her and assure himself that they were truly alright again.

He pushed back the covers and climbed out of bed, raking a hand through his tousled hair. He quickly freshened up and got dressed, feeling a mixture of nervousness and anticipation as he prepared to face the day, and Luna. He left the dorm room, stepping out into the hallway. There was no sign of Luna, which wasn't surprising. She was probably already in the common area, enjoying her morning coffee.

After a morning of uneventful classes, Miro and Luna found themselves with some free time. Miro glanced around, noticing a familiar face across the courtyard. It was Maya. She was standing by herself, looking a bit lost in thought. He nudged Luna's arm, gesturing towards where Maya stood. "There's someone I want you to meet," he said, a hint of excitement in his voice. "Come on."

Luna glanced in the direction Miro was pointing and caught sight of Maya. She raised an eyebrow, but followed him as he led the way across the courtyard. When they were a few feet away, Miro called out to Maya, catching her attention. She looked up, her face lighting up when she spotted Miro and Luna approaching.

"Maya, hey!" Miro greeted her, a warm smile on his face. "How's it going?."

"Hey!" Maya replied, returning his smile with one of her own. "I'm good, thanks. Just taking a breather before my next class. How about you two?."

Miro nodded, then gestured to Luna. "I wanted to introduce you to someone," he said. "Maya, this is Luna. Luna, this is Maya. She's a friend of mine." Luna looked at Maya for a moment, her expression curious. She nodded in greeting, her eyes flickering over the newcomer in an assessing glance. "Nice to meet you," she said, her voice neutral.

"Likewise," Maya said, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. She held Luna's gaze for a beat, sizing her up in turn. "I've heard a lot about you," she added meaningfully. Luna's eyes flicked back to Miro, narrowing slightly. She seemed to pick up on the implication in Maya's words. "Only good things, I hope," she said, her voice carrying just a hint of a challenge.

"Mostly good things," Miro said, giving Luna a reassuring smile. "Maya's been helping me out a lot recently, with... stuff." He wasn't sure how much to say in front of Luna, considering they had just patched up the tension between them.Luna raised an eyebrow at Miro's vague response. "What kind of 'stuff'?" she asked, her tone casual but her eyes sharp. Miro shifted uncomfortably under her watchful gaze. "Just... relationship stuff," he admitted reluctantly. "You know, like... communication and understanding each other's feelings. That kind of stuff."

Luna's eyes flicked between Miro and Maya, her expression guarded. She was clearly picking up on something, but what exactly, Miro couldn't tell. "Relationship stuff," she repeated slowly, her voice low. "So she's been giving you advice, huh?"

Miro nodded, feeling a pang of guilt at the hint of hurt in Luna's voice. He had promised to be honest with her from now on, but he hadn't expected to bring up this particular topic so soon. "Yeah, kind of," he said, trying to keep his tone light but failing. "She's been a good friend, listening to me and offering her perspective on things."

Luna's eyes narrowed even further, her expression turning a little colder. "So you've been talking to her about me, then?" she asked, her voice tight. "About our... 'relationship stuff'?"

Before Miro could respond to Luna, the jarring sound of the bell echoed through the hallway. It cut through the mounting tension between them, freezing the conversation in place as everyone's attention turned to the announcement.People stopped in their tracks, looking up at the intercom speakers with a mix of curiosity and trepidation. The announcements were rarely good news, and everyone braced themselves for whatever new information or task was about to be delivered.

The announcer's voice crackled through the speakers, clear and authoritative.

"Attention all students," the voice said, a hint of excitement in the tone. "There will be a special guest visiting our school today. Please gather in the main assembly hall after your morning classes. Thank you for your cooperation."

A guest?...who might it be?..
