In the delivery room Doctor Hanson said "Okay I want you to push with each contraction. Ready and push 12345678910. Again push 12345678910. It's a girl."

An hour later Doctor Hanson said "Okay I see the head of the other twin. Ready and push 12345678910. Push again 12345678910. It's a girl."

Meanwhile in the waiting room my friends and I were talking to Scott.

Then Doctor Hanson came out.

Scott said "Doctor is Katelyn okay?"

Doctor Hanson said "Yes she is fine and you have two beautiful daughters."

I said "Oh that is great news."

My friend Hannah said "What are you going to name them?"

Scott said "Katelyn and I have not done that yet."

Doctor Hanson said "Actually your wife has already named them."

Scott said "Ok so what are there names?"

Doctor Hanson said "Denise and Amanda."

I said "those are beautiful names."

Scott said "Thank you. May I go and see her Doc?"

Doctor Hanson said "we are trying to get the bleeding to stop."

Scott said "Bleeding?"

Doctor Hanson said "Yes your wife started to hemorrhage after the twins were born."

Scott said "Will she be okay ?"

Doctor Hanson said "she is in good hands. We are doing all that we can."

Hannah said "we will pray for her Scott."

Scott said "Katelyn is a Catholic. I do not know if she would feel comfortable with you as a Mormon praying for her."

Hannah said "was she always a catholic?"

Scott said "no from the age of 8 she was a member of your church but then she left when she was 19."

Hannah said "I will still pray for her."

I said "We all will."

While Katelyn was in surgery we prayed that she would pull through.

Hannah said "Dear Heavenly Father

We come to you to ask you to help our dear friend Katelyn. Please help her pull through this procedure. Help her please to see that we all love her and that you her as well. Please heal her so that the veil of death does take her at this time. We say all of these things in the named of your beloved son Jesus Christ ,Amen."

We all said "Amen."

An hour later Doctor Hanson came back out.

Scott said "Doc is she okay?"

Doctor Hanson said "She is fine now. We were able to stop the bleeding."

I breathed a sigh of relief. At least Katelyn had not died from giving birth to her twins. A few months later she took Gabriella and Faith to an ice skating rink.

Gabriella said "Are you sure that this is a good idea? I mean you did just give birth two months ago."

Katelyn said "I will be fine. And besides if any of us make a fall your father is the lounge with the twins and I am sure that he will come straight to our rescue."

Gabriella said "Okay but I still do not think that this is a good idea."

Katelyn said "Come on it is easy. Just watch me."

Then she showed them. She did a few spins and twirls. Then said "There now you try."

Faith tried it first and she skated gracefully.

A voice said "Wow she is a natural."

Katelyn knew right away who the person was. It was her old rival Vanessa Martinez.

Katelyn said "Vanessa what do you want?"

Vanessa said "Nothing. Oh and my last name is no longer Martinez."

Katelyn said "Oh what is it now?"

Vanessa said "Santos."

Gabriella said "Katelyn who is this?"

Vanessa said "I am just an old friend your mother's from her figure skating days."

Katelyn said "More like an old traitor of mine."

Vanessa said "Are you still mad at me for beating you to the gold medal in that one competition?"

Katelyn said "No. So where is your husband?"

Vanessa said "On deployment. He is in the Marines."

Katelyn said "Copycat."

Vanessa said "Oh which part of the military is your husband in?"

Katelyn said "Navy."

Gabriella said "Are we going to skate or are we just going to watch you two fight with each other?"

Katelyn said "Sorry let's see what you can do Gabriella."

Then Gabriella tried to do the exact same tricks that Faith did but she ended up falling in midair.

Faith said "Sissy funny."

Gabriella said "Faith that is not funny. How were you able to do it?"

Faith said "I don't know."

Katelyn said "Here let me help you."

Vanessa said "Has Faith ever competed before?"

Katelyn said "No she does gymnastics."

Vanessa said "hmm. Faith would you like to compete in a figure skating competition?"

Faith looked up at Katelyn and said "Oh mommy can I ?"

Katelyn said "Only if it is okay your father?"

Then Faith ran up to the lounge to ask Scott the same thing that Vanessa had asked her.

Meanwhile back on the ice Katelyn said "So are you competing Vanessa?"

Vanessa said "No. My doctor said that it is not good for the baby."

Katelyn said "Baby? Huh? So, you are pregnant?"

Vanessa said "Yes I am. "

Then Katelyn's phone started to ring. It was Jonathan on the other line.

Jonathan said "Hey are you coming into work this evening?"

Katelyn said "Yeah I will be right there."

Then she hung up and "Come on Gabriella we have to go."

That evening at work Jonathan said "So, did I catch you at a bad time?"

Katelyn said "No. I just met up with an old friend of mine from my figure skating days. Turns out she is married now."

Jonathan said "Oooh do tell. Who is she married to?"

Katelyn said "Some guy named Santos. He is in the Marines."

Yasmine said "Hey you two the boss is looking over here. I would go back to do doing our jobs if I were the two of you."

Then a call came in on the machine.

Katelyn said "911 what is your emergency?"

The person on other line said "Help need help."

Katelyn said "Help is on the way. Just tell me what kind of help do you need."

The person said "the flames are burning and my son is trapped inside the house."

Katelyn said "We are sending fire and rescue to your location? What is your address?"

The person said "3456 Orlando Drive SW."

Katelyn said "Sending fire and rescue to 3456 Orlando Drive SW. Minor trapped in a house fire. Now mam please tell me how old is you son?"

The person said "Nine. Please send someone. He has asthma?"

Katelyn said "the firefighters are on their way. Do you see them yet?"

The person said "Yes I see them. Timothy the firemen are coming."

Then the person hung up.
