Chapter 31

Within the elegant confines of the Envoy Estate, Princess Giovanna sat in her room, engrossed in her thoughts, when the sound of commotion drifted in from outside. Her curiosity piqued, she rose from her chair and approached the window, pulling back the delicate lace curtains to gaze out at the scene below.

Through the window, she spotted a luxurious carriage parked outside, its polished wooden surface gleaming in the sunlight. A young man, dressed in fine attire, stood beside the carriage, engaged in conversation with the envoys, Lord Xandros and Lord Kaelor.

Jennia, Giovanna's loyal lady-in-waiting, noticed the princess's fascination with the scene outside and approached her. "What's wrong, Princess?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

Giovanna turned to face Jennia, a hint of intrigue dancing in her eyes. "I think we have a visitor," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
