Chapter 2 (Final Part): The Samurai's Escape

I kept running as fast as I could through the narrow alleys of the Shiganshina District, my breath becoming heavy, but my spirit remained high. Behind me, the sounds of Eren, Armin, Mikasa, and the soldiers were getting closer. I knew they wouldn't stop until they caught me, but I, Katsura Kotaro, would not give up easily. A true samurai always has a stylish escape plan!

As I dashed through a narrow alley, I spotted a pile of large barrels in one corner. Aha! This is the perfect opportunity! With the agility of Jackie Chan, I jumped onto the stack, using my legs to propel myself upward and leaping onto the roof of a nearby low house.

"What the heck is he doing?!" Eren exclaimed as he reached the spot I had just jumped from, his eyes wide in disbelief at my unexpected move.

Swiftly, I continued moving along the rooftops, jumping from one house to another. My movements were as nimble as a wild cat that refused to be caught. The pursuers below looked frustrated as they watched me easily leap over the obstacles they faced on the ground.

Hannes, who was half-conscious from his drunken state, tried to chase after me but tripped over a wooden basket lying in the street. "Damn it! That kid is crazy!"

I ran to the edge of the roof and looked down— a cart piled high with hay was passing by. This was the perfect chance. Without thinking twice, I leaped from the roof and landed smoothly on top of the hay pile. No one saw me!

With swift movements, I slipped out of the cart and casually walked toward a quieter street. No one there was aware that I, the legendary fugitive, had successfully escaped.

"I, Katsura Kotaro, have fled in style!" I whispered triumphantly to myself.

Behind me, Mikasa, Eren, Armin, and the soldiers finally arrived at the last place I had been seen. They looked around, trying to find any trace of me.

"Where did he go?" Hannes asked, scratching his head, still a bit dizzy.

"He's gone!" Eren shouted angrily, clearly frustrated at failing to catch me.

Mikasa just stood there, her sharp eyes scanning the area for any signs, but she couldn't find anything. "He's fast," she said quietly, a hint of disbelief in her voice.

"What exactly happened?" one of the confused soldiers asked. They were just starting to realize how absurd this chase was.

Eren shook his head, still full of anger. "I was fighting two guys, and then he just came out of nowhere and started hitting everyone!"

"And somehow, he also hit Armin," Eren continued, glancing at Armin, who was holding his slightly bruised cheek.

Hannes, looking a bit more sober, chuckled despite the throbbing in his head. "So, that kid caused chaos in your fight and then hit us too? What a crazy brat…"

"He's not just crazy; he really seems to not care about anything," Armin added, though his tone was softer.

Mikasa let out a long sigh, clearly annoyed by the situation. "If I see him again, I won't let him escape."

"At least he managed to make us all chase him," Hannes admitted with a slight smile on his face. "That kid has guts, even if his methods are completely bizarre."

Eren kicked a small pebble in frustration. "He's weird! And he's annoying! But next time, I'm definitely going to catch him!"

Armin nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he's too fast and always acts strange. But we have to admit—he's really slippery."

As they stood in the now quiet street, they all began to realize how chaotic the day had been because of my presence. Still, their anger didn't seem to have fully dissipated.

"We need to be more vigilant next time," Mikasa said, staring out toward the horizon as if ready for another fight. "He might not be a big threat, but he's definitely a nuisance."

And there, in the distance, I, Katsura Kotaro, safely far from the chase, sat comfortably behind a haystack, grinning widely as I watched them from afar.
