CHAPTER 246

"The current speed of absorbing characteristics is pretty good."

"On just the first day, it's already reached three percent."

"It might be faster than absorbing Taris's characteristics."

"Because the Kingdom of Fiora's most unique area is the Royal City."

"This is a kingdom with a single core. Aside from the Royal City, the other regions have no special features."

"Staying in the Royal City is enough."

"In addition, there are Nen users from Taris infiltrating the Kingdom of Fiora."

"Once the Fiora royal family's Nen users engage them, as long as I'm nearby, my Observer's Intent will absorb characteristics at an accelerated rate."

In the following days, under Wendy's guidance, Ron toured the Royal City of Fiora.

Scenic spots, restaurants, and various sights one after another.

Unnoticed, the progress of Ron's crystal ball reached twenty percent.

At that moment—

"Ring ring!"

A phone rang.

Wendy answered.

"Dominica, Uncle Dominica."

"Wendy, where are you now?"

Wendy reported the name of a restaurant.

"Is Ron with you?"

"Yes."

"Bring Ron to the dojo."

"Alright."

Wendy dialed another number, and a car arrived quickly.

Ron and Wendy got in.

Before long, they stopped in front of a large building.

Ron got out and looked up.

"Dragon Dojo!"

From the information Chii had gathered earlier, Ron knew that the Fiora royal family's Nen users formed a single style with three subdivisions, each corresponding to a dojo.

There were the Dragon Dojo, Star Dojo, and Beast Dojo. (t/N: I think I called it "First" instead of the correct term "Beast" I will correct it.)

Dominica and Wendy were both from the Dragon Dojo.

"Ron, long time no see."

"Dominica, long time no see."

"Come inside."

Dominica led Ron and Wendy in.

The sight of Ron, an unfamiliar face, drew curious glances. Normally, no outsiders would be allowed into the Dragon Dojo, yet now an exception had appeared.

In a conference room, Dominica closed the door.

"Ron, thank you very much for last time."

"You're welcome. How's the situation now?"

"We've obtained some information, but still haven't pinpointed their exact location."

Dominica said, "Based on our judgment, they'll likely try something at the Nirvana Conference. When they show up, we'll suppress them then."

"There shouldn't be a big problem."

From Dominica's tone, it was clear he didn't take the Nen users of Taris too seriously. In fact, the Kingdom of Fiora had already cooperated with the Hunter Association to crush Taris's Nen users before. Now, only a few remnants had infiltrated.

In a direct confrontation, Taris's Nen users had never been on Fiora's level. What Fiora truly guarded against was their potential harm to ordinary citizens. But since these Taris Nen users needed to remain hidden, they couldn't cause large-scale destruction here in Fiora, not like in other places.

Dominica's main issue had been locating them, and now that he had some idea of their plan, he was no longer worried. As for defeating or killing them once they were exposed, Dominica had never been concerned.

"Wendy's taken you around quite a bit these past few days, right? How do you feel about it?"

"It's great," Ron said. "Not what I imagined, it's quite distinctive."

Dominica smiled.

"Glad you're enjoying yourself."

After a pause, Dominica said, "Originally, I didn't plan to disturb you, but there's something I need your help with, Ron."

"Sure, what do you need?"

Ron thought for a moment and couldn't guess how he could be of help. In terms of strength, there were definitely many in the royal family stronger than him. He was still growing. As for abilities, he hadn't shown anything particularly special. Chii's abilities were hidden, and Killer Queen's bomb ability was hard to analyze from one or two uses.

"Ron, I need your help training Wendy."

Dominica's expression became serious.

"The upcoming Nirvana Conference is very important for Wendy. She's my disciple, and I naturally hope she wins. She had a good chance before, but I've received news that this generation's Star Child has made tremendous progress through some opportunity. If Wendy remains at her current level, it'll be difficult for her to win."

Ron was silent for a moment.

"Dominica, as Wendy's friend, I'm certainly willing to help train her."

"But is there something special about how I should do it?"

"In this dojo, there must be many Nen users stronger than me."

Dominica shook his head.

"They won't be as effective. You're Wendy's age, at a similar level, and your fighting style is akin to the Star Child's. Training against you will yield the best results for Wendy."

"Of course, I won't ask you to help for nothing."

"This is your reward."

With that, Dominica produced something—an amulet.

The cord was woven from red thread, and the pendant was a milky-white stone.

Ron instinctively thought of fine white jade.

"Dominica, there's no need. Wendy is my friend. I don't need a reward."

"A friend is a friend, and a reward is a reward."

Dominica firmly placed the pendant in Ron's hand. "I know the Zoldyck family's rules. Besides, this Nen tool is just what you need. It should be quite suitable."

"It's a defensive-type Nen tool."

"In the Kingdom of Fiora, we have plenty of Nen tools due to our Nen tradition."

Hearing "defense," Ron hesitated.

As a Nen Beast user, Ron really did need more defense. Even though he'd grown stronger physically, stronger defense was always better.

"Ron, just accept it. Otherwise, I won't train," Wendy urged from the side.

Ron nodded and no longer refused.

"Alright, Dominica, Wendy, I'll accept this Nen tool. I really can use it."

"Dominica, how should I conduct the training?"

Ron had no objection to helping Wendy train. First, as he'd said, they were friends. Second, Ron could also gain something from sparring with someone as talented as Wendy. Training and actual combat combined produced the best results.

Third, this gave Ron a perfectly good reason to stay in the Dragon Dojo openly.
