"Damn… damn humans!"
Goku Black gritted his teeth, his voice filled with unwillingness as he used the last of his strength.
"Humans?"
Kahn raised his eyelids and spoke coldly, "Zamasu, do you think that by killing the Supreme Kai in the future timeline and causing the Gods of Destruction to perish alongside them, no one in this time and space can stop you?"
"To you, I am the Grand God of Destruction from another timeline. If you, who exist in the same time and space as me, can travel to the future and wreak havoc, then naturally, I can travel to the future and punish you."
"The fact that I am here proves that you were never untouchable. You should die with regret."
"You… what did you say?!"
Goku Black's pupils dilated in shock and horror. "You're… another Grand God of Destruction from my timeline?!"
It wasn't until this moment that he realized the terrifying enemy he had provoked!
In the future timeline, there were no Gods of Destruction left.
But Zamasu from the main timeline had never told him that a Grand God of Destruction existed in the main timeline!
"You should go down and be buried with the Earthlings you slaughtered."
Kahn didn't waste more words on Goku Black.
With a mere thought—
Boom!
Goku Black, already fatally wounded, exploded on the spot.
Blood rained from the sky, painting the dark clouds red.
At the same time, in a remote mountain hut not far from the Western Capital, Zamasu of the main timeline sensed his counterpart's death.
"Who did this?"
Zamasu's expression darkened, his voice deep and menacing. "The other me was killed… Is there truly such a powerful warrior in this world?"
Immediately, a cold killing intent flashed in his eyes.
"Filthy mortals… how dare you challenge me in this time and space? I, Zamasu, will never forgive you!"
Whoosh!
Zamasu shot through the sky, heading toward the Western Capital at full speed.
When he arrived and saw the towering, imposing figure standing above the ruins, his pupils shrank in shock.
"The Grand God of Destruction… Lord Kahn?!"
Although Kahn had only recently assumed his role as the Grand God of Destruction, Zamasu had heard about him from Gowasu.
Despite still being an apprentice Supreme Kai, Zamasu knew of the newly appointed Grand God of Destruction, Kahn.
What he hadn't expected was that Kahn would personally travel to the future and slay his future counterpart!
"You've finally arrived, Zamasu. I've been waiting for you."
Kahn's gaze lifted slightly, locking onto Zamasu.
"Lord Kahn, you—"
Zamasu's expression turned grim, fear creeping into his voice.
Though he viewed himself as superior, he was still deeply afraid of this Grand God of Destruction from the primary timeline.
He knew that even an ordinary God of Destruction would be enough to make him flee in terror.
That was why he had slaughtered all the Supreme Kais in the future—to ensure the Gods of Destruction perished alongside them.
"You are aware of the crime you've committed, aren't you, Zamasu?"
Kahn's cold tone was like a blade, cutting deep into Zamasu's heart.
"Time travel is strictly forbidden, yet you not only violated this law but also caused untold destruction in the future. Even if you died ten times over, it wouldn't be enough to atone for your sins!"
A grain of sand in history may seem small, but when it lands on the future, it can become an insurmountable mountain.
Tampering with time—even the smallest action—can lead to catastrophic consequences.
This is why time travel was an absolute taboo.
Zamasu's expression darkened further. It was clear Kahn had come to pass judgment upon him.
At this point, there was no way out.
Even if he turned and fled, would he be able to escape?
A Grand God of Destruction was an existence far beyond his comprehension.
"There's truly no way out…"
Zamasu quickly regained his composure and said, "Lord Kahn, mortals are impure beings that should not exist. Without them and their endless wars born from greed, the universe would be a much better place."
"I am doing this for the greater good—for a brighter tomorrow for the universe."
Kahn chuckled coldly.
"What a pathetic excuse. Do you even understand the meaning of the universe? Mortals are the meaning of the universe. Without them, the universe itself loses its purpose."
"If a universe were truly unworthy of existence, then Zeno would erase it. That is not your decision to make."
Zamasu fell silent.
He wanted to refute Kahn's words but found no argument.
Does the universe exist for mortals?
He didn't know.
All he knew was that the universe would be cleaner, more pristine, without them.
Kahn's voice rang out again, like the final verdict in a trial.
"Zamasu, do you have any last words before you die?"
"Hah!"
Zamasu suddenly let out a sinister laugh.
"I am immortal! So what if you are the Grand God of Destruction? You cannot kill me!"
"Oh?"
The corner of Kahn's mouth curled into a smirk.
Raising his right hand, he conjured a sphere of purple-gold Hakai energy, the overwhelming power of destruction radiating from his palm.
The sheer presence of it sent shivers down Zamasu's spine—an unimaginable aura of annihilation.
Even with his immortal body, he could feel the suffocating weight of impending death!
"Want to test it out?" Kahn's voice was mocking. "Let's see if I can erase even your so-called immortality."
Zamasu had always believed that the power of Super Dragon Balls granted him absolute immortality.
But now, as he stared into the abyss of Kahn's destruction, for the first time—
He doubted.
A cold sweat dripped down his forehead.
Moments ago, he had been gambling on the idea that Kahn wouldn't be able to erase him.
But now…
After seeing Kahn's power up close, panic gripped his heart.
"It seems you truly want to test your luck."
Kahn's eyes narrowed as he extended his hand toward Zamasu.
"Try it—"
And die!
Crack! Crack!
The space around Zamasu instantly collapsed, forming an inescapable prison of warped dimensions, sealing off all possible escape routes.
Zamasu's fate was sealed.
