"I'm so pissed off! Why is Ultra Ego so difficult to learn?!"
Caulifla stood with her hands on her hips, frustration written all over her face.
She had been training with Shin for over half a year, trying to grasp Ultra Ego, but she hadn't even reached the entry level yet. This was starting to shake her confidence.
Hearing her complaints, Shin chuckled and said, "Well, it's not exactly something just anyone can learn. It's a divine technique, after all."
Caulifla blinked as if she had realized something important.
"Then that must be the problem! I just need to get stronger first! Train me, Shin!" she demanded, grabbing his hand without hesitation.
"Alright, alright," Shin sighed, giving in.
Meanwhile, behind a large boulder, Kale watched them from the shadows, her eyes burning with jealousy.
"It's all Shin's fault," she thought bitterly. "Ever since he showed up, Caulifla barely pays attention to me anymore."
At that moment—
"Hey, you little brat! Why haven't you taught my future daughter-in-law Ultra Ego yet?!"
A powerful voice boomed from above.
Shin and Caulifla turned their heads abruptly.
Standing atop the boulder were Kahn, Zalama, and Alice, all looking down at them.
"Wha—?! Dad! What are you doing here?!" Shin exclaimed, his usual composed demeanor breaking as his face turned red.
"Yo, isn't this Kahn? Welcome to Planet Sadala!" Caulifla grinned, waving casually.
Kahn narrowed his eyes. "No manners, kid. You should call me Uncle."
He and his group teleported down from the boulder.
Caulifla just stuck out her tongue in response.
Shin sighed. "Seriously, Dad, why are you here? You're not here to supervise my training, are you?"
Kahn smirked. "I don't have that much free time, brat. I'm here to be your lightbulb."
Shin twitched. "Huh?"
"Anyway, I found you a good job. Interested?"
Shin folded his arms. "Depends on what it is. Tell me first."
Kahn raised an eyebrow. "Oh, so now you want to hear details before deciding, huh? Smartass."
Without wasting any more time, he got straight to the point.
"I just stripped Champa of his title as God of Destruction, so the Sixth Universe is currently without one. You're the best candidate for the job in terms of strength and mindset. What do you say?"
"As long as you take up the position, you can stay in Universe 6 without relying on favors. Otherwise, don't come crying to me when your mother drags you back home."
Shin hesitated.
Caulifla, on the other hand, was shocked. "Wait, Lord Champa isn't the God of Destruction anymore?!"
"Correct," Alice confirmed. "Lord Kahn removed his title due to his negligence."
Seeing Shin's hesitation, Kahn continued, "Think about it, brat. If you become Universe 6's God of Destruction, you won't have to answer to anyone here. Plus, you can marry Caulifla later and bring her to the God of Destruction's palace."
"You can even train her in Ultra Ego. And if you struggle with teaching, Alice can assist."
Shin had his doubts, but... this was sounding better and better.
Still...
"But if I become a God of Destruction, won't I have to carry out destruction duties?" he asked.
Kahn scoffed. "Of course, dumbass. But I'm not letting you take the job just to make your life easy. That said..."
A smirk formed on Kahn's lips.
"I'll give you an adjustment period. For the first hundred years, you won't have to perform any destruction duties. You can spend that time however you want with your little girlfriend."
"When the time comes, Alice will guide you. Just make sure that when the next assessment of universe rankings happens in a thousand years, you don't embarrass me by placing last."
Shin's eyes widened.
"Wait... you're seriously letting me slack off for a hundred years?"
Kahn grinned. "I'm secretly opening the back door for you. Just don't tell the other Gods of Destruction."
Shin laughed. "Thanks, Dad! Alright, I accept!"
Caulifla's eyes widened. "Wait, Shin! If you become a God of Destruction, what about me?!"
"You're coming with me, obviously," Shin said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"...."
Caulifla's face turned completely red.
Kahn smirked but didn't say anything. He turned to Alice.
"Alice, I'm leaving my son and his future wife in your hands. Teach them everything they need to know. No need to go easy on them just because they're related to me."
Alice nodded. "Understood, Lord Kahn."
Then she looked at Shin and Caulifla.
"Well then, Lord Shin, Miss Caulifla, please follow me. I'll take you to the God of Destruction's palace."
With that, she wrapped them in a soft glow of light and took off toward the palace.
Once they were gone, Kahn suddenly turned his gaze toward a nearby boulder.
"Come out," he said flatly. "Everyone else is gone. How long are you planning to hide?"
"Ah?!"
Kale, who had been crouching behind the boulder, flinched and fell to the ground in fear.
By the time she looked up, Kahn and Zalama were already standing in front of her.
"You... what do you want?" she stammered, intimidated.
Kahn crossed his arms. "I should be asking you that."
Kale looked away, but Kahn continued speaking.
"I know you have feelings for Caulifla, but let's get one thing straight—you're not going to end up with her."
"Caulifla sees you as a little sister. Nothing more. She's with my son now, and that's her choice."
Kale's hands clenched into fists.
"If you think Shin stole Caulifla from you, you're welcome to fight him for her," Kahn continued, smirking. "But I doubt you'd survive the attempt."
Kale bit her lip, unable to respond.
"Take my advice—accept reality and move on. Living in your own fantasies will only bring you pain."
With that, Kahn turned away, no longer paying her any mind.
He placed his hands behind his back and looked up at the sky.
"Alright, Zalama, let's get back to our honeymoon."
Zalama chuckled. "And how many new maids are you planning to find along the way?"
Kahn smirked. "I dunno. Let's just see what happens."
With that, the two vanished, leaving Kale alone, still frozen in place.
