Friends

Three days had passed since Daniel woke up, and the two of them now found themselves in the hospital garden, enjoying the sunshine.

Luna sat on a chair, her face lit up with happiness as she observed Daniel in his wheelchair. His leg injury still required more time to heal, but he seemed to be on the mend.

Daniel, too, had begun to open up to Luna. He had learned more about her life and her family and her lifestyle, and the two of them had started to form a strong bond.

Luna's voice was filled with kindness as she addressed Daniel. "I'll be returning to work tomorrow, but I'll try to visit you as much as I can."

Daniel nodded, his expression a mix of gratitude and disappointment. "I was wondering when I'd be able to leave this place. What did the doctors say?"

"They said you'll be discharged next week," Luna replied. "But don't worry, I won't abandon you."

Just then, Luna's phone rang. "Oh, it's Anna," she said. "My best friend is here to visit you."

"Your friend is here to visit me?" Daniel repeated, his brows furrowing in surprise. "Why would she come see me?"

Luna smiled warmly. "She's a good friend. She heard about the accident and wanted to check on you. I told her about you. She wants to see the man I'm taking such good care of."

Luna motioned towards the entrance of the garden. "I think she's coming this way."

A moment later, Anna appeared at the entrance, a bright smile on her face.

Anna's smile widened as she spotted Luna. "Hey, Luna!" she called out, her voice cheerful. "How's our patient doing?"

Luna stood up to greet her friend. "He's getting better," she replied, her tone warm. "This is Daniel," she said, gesturing towards him. "Daniel, this is Anna."

Daniel, still in his wheelchair, looked up at Anna and gave her a polite nod. "Nice to meet you, Anna."

"Likewise, Daniel," Anna said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"Oh, Luna, I've missed our foodie adventures," Anna exclaimed, her eyes alight with enthusiasm. "We'll have to go out tomorrow after you're done with work."

Luna nodded, a smile on her lips. "Yes, we should. My mom will be here to stay with Daniel, so we can go out."

Anna turned to Daniel, her smile warm and friendly. "Luna was telling me about the accident. I'm glad you're on the mend. And by the way, I was the girl Luna was riding with when she found you."

Luna nodded in confirmation. "Yes, I was wearing headphones, but we always ride bikes together after work. It's a good way to stay in shape."

Daniel smiled . "Thanks for saving me, Luna."

Anna turned to Daniel, a concerned expression on her face. "Are you showing any signs of improvement? Luna was worried about the memory loss."

"Unfortunately, no," Daniel replied, his tone somber. "But I have an appointment with the neurosurgeon tomorrow. Hopefully, they'll have some good news."

They laughed and talked.

As the sun began to dip behind the horizon, Anna bid her farewells, leaving Luna and Daniel alone.

"Well, I think it's time to get you back to your room," Luna said, gently pushing Daniel's wheelchair toward the elevator. "You need to rest."

When they arrived at his room, Luna helped Daniel onto the bed and gave him a glass of water.

"Thank you, Luna," Daniel said, taking a sip. "And tell your mom I said hello. I appreciate her staying with me while you're at work."

Luna smiled and nodded. "She's happy to help. And I'll be back tomorrow evening after work , don't worry."

Daniel reached for Luna's hand, his gaze sincere. "I appreciate everything you've done for me, Luna. You've been the one for me when I needed one the most. Thank you."

Luna's cheeks flushed, her heart racing at Daniel's gesture. "You're welcome, Daniel. It's been my pleasure. Get some rest now."

"Don't worry about me, Luna," Daniel said, his smile soft. "I'll be fine with hospital food for tonight. But tomorrow, I'd love to taste your cooking skills."

Luna giggled, her eyes jokingly and playfully. "Okay, then. But don't say I didn't warn you if it doesn't turn out well. I'm still learning."

"I'm sure it will be delicious," Daniel replied, his tone reassuring. "You've been taking such good care of me. I trust you."

Luna chuckled at Daniel's response and smiled warmly. "Great! I'll be back in a bit with the food." With that, she turned and headed for the door, her heart lighter than it had been in days.

As the door closed behind her, Daniel's gaze settled on the notepad by his bedside. A small smile played on his lips as he took a pen and began to write:

* Learn who I really am

* Find out what happened to me

* Thank Luna for everything

* Look for my family

He hid the list under the pillow. He don't want luna to see the list.

He will continue writing on his notepad on how to do it.

While Luna was in the hospital canteen, a man dressed as a doctor was outside Daniel's room, secretly recording him. As Luna returned with the food, she nearly collided with the man, who quickly apologized before leaving. Luna found the encounter strange.

Once outside the hospital, the man removed his mask and sent the video to his boss. "I've seen Mr. Daniel," he reported. "He seems to have lost his memory. Killing him will be easier now."

The man's boss, shrouded in the shadows, watched the video with a cold, calculating gaze. "Excellent work," he said in a deep, gravelly voice. "Keep tabs on Daniel and report back to me. If he starts to regain his memory, we will have to act swiftly."

Meanwhile, back at Daniel's hospital room.

Luna set the food down, noticing that Daniel's hand had recovered from the injury. So he can feed himself

He asked her to request a switch from the wheelchair to crutches, saying the wheelchair made him feel weak.

"I'll let the doctors know tomorrow," Luna assured him. "For now, you should rest. And I'm heading home. See you soon."

Daniel nodded, watching carrying her bag and Luna left. he turned his attention back to the notepad and the mysterious list he was compiling.
