Arjuna furrowed his brows so deeply it was as if they were being pulled backward when he heard Karissa’s words. 


"Why are you looking at me like that?!" Karissa retorted, slightly annoyed by his reaction. "You're being dramatic, you know..." 


"You’ve moved on from your handsome, cool guy, haven’t you..." Arjuna replied, brushing off her irritation. 


"It’s just weird. All of a sudden, you’re interested in me..."

"And now that he’s dimmed a little, you're turning to me instead?!" 


"You’re giving up?!" Arjuna exclaimed in surprise. Karissa didn’t answer but gave him a look that said she was tired and needed a break.
