Kate gazed at Ivy's reddened nose and couldn't help but reach out to gently pinch it.
"You've used up all my tissues, and your tears aren't even dry yet. You really are quite the crybaby."
"I... I just like to cry, so what! Even if I'm a crybaby, if any bad guys come, I can still punch them away with one blow." Ivy was still sniffing, her voice softer than usual, yet she tried to put on a facade of someone dependable.
Kate chuckled softly. "Say that again for me."
"What?" Ivy didn't understand the request.
"That part about punching the bad guys away—say it again," Kate insisted.
"Why?"
"Because I like hearing it." So adorable.
Ivy blinked in confusion but repeated, "If bad guys come, I'll punch them away with one blow."
"Once more," Kate prompted.
Ivy finally realized something was amiss and accused, "Are you teasing me?"
"No," Kate replied.
