Chapter 82: Return to the Cottage

Ivy ultimately didn't dare to voice her more direct questions. She could be courageous in other matters, but when it came to whether Kate would continue to treat her as she did now, she became more cautious.

If Kate was merely looking after a junior without any other intentions, and realized that Ivy desired a different response, she would undoubtedly feel troubled.

After returning to the cottage, everyone was too exhausted to do anything else; they just wanted to retreat to their rooms and rest.

However, having just experienced those harrowing hours, Sophia felt insecure being alone in her room; even with the lights on, she feared that something might suddenly jump out when she closed her eyes.

At times like this, she truly envied Ivy and Kate; at least they had someone else in the room, so they wouldn't be so afraid.

Staring at the ceiling, Sophia felt sleepy but too scared to close her eyes alone.
