Chapter 304: The Wrath of Doomsday

With a loud bang, a violent lightning beam struck Doomsday directly. Marked by an electromagnetic field, the lightning followed him no matter how he moved.

Unless Doomsday could reach near-light speed, dodging the attack was impossible.

However, Doomsday didn't even try to evade. He took the full force of the attack, which was strong enough to overload an entire city's electrical grid. The sheer voltage and current generated a thermal melting effect, turning the ground beneath him into a molten glass-like substance.

Doomsday's reaction? A guttural roar, smoke rising from his body—but otherwise, no signs of real damage.

Shin rolled his eyes. 'This kind of attack could melt steel, and it barely fazed him?'

Still, since it was at least irritating Doomsday, Shin intensified his assault, sending bolt after bolt of lightning down onto his head.

Enraged, Doomsday lunged. Though he lacked flight, his sheer leg strength allowed him to leap at speeds rivaling a jet.

Fortunately, his mid-air movement was limited—he could only go in a straight line, unable to adjust his trajectory.

Batman, piloting his Batplane, skillfully maneuvered through a series of tight turns, dodging Doomsday's strikes while leading him away from the city.

Of course, Superman was essential in covering Batman's retreat. Given the sheer gap in reaction speeds, no matter how skilled Batman was at piloting, he'd have been swatted out of the sky if not for Superman's interference.

Shin, high above, continued striking Doomsday's head with lightning. Watching the beast rage helplessly, unable to reach him, was oddly satisfying.

But something was off.

His attacks were becoming less effective. Doomsday was adapting.

Even though this wasn't his infamous "resurrection evolution," it was clear that Doomsday's resistance to damage was increasing by the second.

'Purely offensive attacks won't cut it. I need control abilities against monsters like him...'

Before he could finish that thought, an instinctual warning—sharp as needles—pierced his mind.

His electromagnetic field, combined with his advanced sensory abilities, detected an alarming shift in Doomsday's body.

'He's generating a bio-magnetic field—just like Superman!'

Superman's so-called bio-magnetic field had nothing to do with actual magnetism, but it functioned similarly, allowing him to perform incredible feats, including flight.

And now, Doomsday had the same ability.

The moment Shin realized this, his instincts screamed at him to act.

"Almighty Push!" (Shinra Tensei!)

In this situation, blurring his body into an intangible state would have been the safest choice. But beneath him was Batman's Batplane, and if Doomsday even so much as grazed it, Bruce Wayne would be taking a one-way trip to see his parents.

So Shin opted for a full 360-degree repelling force, a combination of attack and defense to push Doomsday back while shielding himself.

It wasn't enough.

Doomsday's fist shattered 'Shinra Tensei' instantly like a tidal wave smashing against a rock.

Blood erupted from Shin's mouth as the sheer force sent him flying out of the Batplane. The backlash alone felt like being run over by a mountain, the shockwave producing a deafening sonic boom.

His trajectory? Completely out of control.

Something massive broke his fall. Even wrapped in hardened chakra and reinforced bone, the impact sent fresh blood spraying from his lips. His ribs? Most likely shattered.

But thanks to his ''Sage Body'' and ''Shikotsumyaku'', recovery was only a matter of seconds.

Moments later, Shin reconstituted himself in a flash of lightning, standing once again on solid ground.

'That last hit...' he thought, recalling the moment before impact. 'Did the bio-magnetic field interfere with my elementalization?'

Above him, the Batplane spiraled out of control.

It wasn't a direct hit from Doomsday—if it had been, the jet would have been vaporized. Instead, it was the 'shockwave' of Shin's fall that had disrupted its systems, forcing an emergency landing.

Despite everything, 'Shinra Tensei' had worked. It had prevented Doomsday from landing a direct blow.

The aircraft touched down near Shin. He glanced over and was surprised to see it still intact.

Batman emerged, surveying the situation before looking at Shin. Seeing the questioning expression on his face, Bruce spoke in his signature gravelly voice. "Doomsday can fly now. The Batplane is just a target in the air."

Shin nodded. If not for Superman keeping Doomsday occupied, that jet would've been turned to dust long ago.

"What's the plan now?" Shin asked, his gaze lingering on Batman's utility belt.

Batman was silent for a long moment. 'Plan?'

This was a battle between gods. He could barely 'see' them move, let alone strategize against them.

Shin smirked knowingly. "Tsk. When you were up against Superman, you had an entire contingency plan. What about Doomsday?"

The truth was simple—Batman was great at planning against people who 'held back' against him.

But Doomsday? Doomsday wasn't playing games.

The master strategist of the comics could always come up with a plan, but this wasn't the comics. Here, he was just a mortal on a battlefield of gods.

Shin's eyes flicked to the Kryptonite spear in Batman's hand. A powerful weapon, but against an enemy like Doomsday, who would actually 'have the time' to use it?
