You Got To Be Kidding Me?!

The leader sighed helplessly.

"Okay."

He turned to the red tiger and spoke:

"This is what you'll do... Go right, and I'll go left... Run as fast as you can."

The tiger nodded and waited for his command.

The guy braced himself, and after a few seconds, he yelled.

"GO!!"

The tiger shot forward.

BOOM!!!

The monster moved, chasing after the running Beast.

"Good job!"

The guy waited for three seconds, exhaled, and shot forward like lightning.

'If I escape, I can fight low-stage Beasts and gain more points!!'

He looked over his shoulder, seeing his tiger moving even faster than him, but still...

BANG!!!!!

A head burst out of the ground, catching the tiger in its maw... And with a snap, the struggling Beast was torn in two.

Two more heads burst out of the ground, swallowing the two halves whole.

"...."

The guy's eyes widened in horror.

"Shit!!"

He increased his speed, channeling his Life Force to his feet.

SCREECH!!!!!

GRRRAAAA!!!!!!

BANG!!!!

The heads entered the ground, turned around, and moved towards him.

"No! I can't stop now, only a few meters left! I can---"

BAM!!!!

He froze and slowly lowered his gaze to his chest, seeing a huge hole, blood rapidly flowing out.

"This?!"

Both he and Christopher were stunned. They looked ahead, seeing a young man walking towards them.

Christopher: "Mitchell?"

"Young master, Mit... Chell?"

BAM!!

The guy dropped to the ground, dead... His body shattered into light particles, disappearing from sight.

"This guy waited for an opportunity and killed him; that way, all the points belong to him... Wow, I'm impressed; I was thinking the exact same thing."

[One hour left.]

"Oh?" He smiled, seeing the screen.

"Can you show me his points?" he asked.

[Target isn't concealing his profile.]

"Arrogant."

[Bringing up.]

[Name: Mitchell.]

[Training title earned: Ruthless.]

[Kills: 101.]

[Points: 78,900 (100 starting points).]

Christopher blinked in shock and quickly checked his profile.

[Bringing up.]

[Name: Christopher.]

[Training title earned: Scout.]

[Kills: 20.]

[Points: 1,900 (100 starting points).]

"This is an embarrassment..." he said, frowning slightly.

"You're still alive? How nice."

Christopher turned his head, seeing Mariana walking towards Mitchell, her three wolves following behind.

"Hmm... Let's see her profile; it can't be worse than mine."

[Bringing up.]

[Name: Mariana.]

[Training title earned: Slayer.]

[Kills: 120.]

[Points: 50,900 (100 starting points).]

'You've got to be kidding me?!!!' he yelled inwardly. 'She got a Slayer title while I got a Scout! Aren't you cheating here!!'

[The guide calculates everyone's score accurately... There isn't a mistake.]

Christopher slowly nodded and asked:

"How many are active?"

[Active: 4.]

He blinked for a couple of seconds:

"Four? Then who's the fourth?"

"Why are you hiding here, Chris?"

He sharply turned around, seeing Advika staring at him with a smile, her body and sword covered in blood; monster's blood.

"You... How long have you been standing there?"

'What the?! Why didn't I detect her? Is it because of the goddess in her? No, that can't be... She hasn't unlocked her powers... Maybe it's a passive skill? I need to check her profile... Please don't be higher than those two.'

[Bringing up.]

[Name: Advika.]

[Training title earned: Grim Reaper.]

[Kills: 256.]

[Points: 130,900 (100 starting points).]

Christopher fell backward from shock.

Advika stared at him with a raised eyebrow.

"I've been staring at you for a minute now... I thought you were someone else; you should be lucky I recognized you before attacking... All those other guys are weak."

Christopher sat up.

'Other guys? I now understand how she got so many points; she killed the other contestants, and with her title... I'd say they have no idea how she killed them... Was she pretending to be weak from the start? Or has she unlocked the powers and hidden them from everyone?! What is going on here?!!'

"Why are you frowning? Did I say anything wrong?" Advika asked, mildly confused.

"No, come here."

Advika nodded, walked forward, and crouched down beside him.

"Remember those two?"

Christopher pointed at Mitchell and Mariana.

Advika slowly nodded, still confused.

"Shouldn't we attack them and get their points?"

"Slow down, there's a Legendary-stage Beast here."

"Huh? Where?"

Advika moved her gaze over the calm and flat landscape before them.

"This bush is the boundary. If we move past it, the monster will attack... It's in the ground and uses voices and vibrations to locate its target... The only sad thing is, those two are out of range."

"Oh? I can get them in range."

Advika looked around her and saw a stone... She picked it up and tossed it on her palm, staring at Christopher with a mischievous smile.

Christopher looked at the stone on her palm, then raised his head to her face.

"I don't understand."

"You don't have to; just watch."

She stood up and threw the stone forward, then quickly got down.

"Watch," she said to Christopher... Who silently stared at the stone, which fell on the ground.

BANG!!!

Hearing the vibration, the monster moved towards it.

Mariana, who stood in front of Mitchell, turned towards the sound. She frowned, seeing the ground moving.

"Is that?" She was stunned.

"I was planning on taking your points, but whatever is in the ground has more points than you... So stand back and wait for your turn," Mitchell said, unknowingly entering the monster's territory.

"Maximo, show yourself."

He raised his hand into the air; a green light flew out of it, taking the form of the huge Legendary-stage earth dragon.

GRRRAAAAAA!!!

The monster stopped, turned around, and shot towards the two.

"Maximo, bring this rat out of the ground! Use [Earth Stomp]!"

Maximo nodded, raised a foot, and smashed it on the ground.

BOOM!!!

A powerful sonic wave spread from its spot, moving all over the landscape.

GGRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

BOOOOOOOM!!!!!

All the heads, numbering up to 150, burst out of the ground and simultaneously opened their mouths.

"Only a crab!! Maximo! Use [Earth Fortress]!!" Mitchell yelled.

Black beams formed in the heads' mouths; the next moment, they all sent a powerful energy blast towards the two.

BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

"Hmph! Do you think that can pass through Maximo's defense? You must be dreaming," Mitchell said with a smile, as the smoke slowly dispersed.

Whoosh!!!

"...."

Mitchell's eyes widened, seeing all the heads shooting towards him.

"Attack, Maximo!!"

Whoosh!

The dragon spread its wings and shot forward, colliding with the heads.

"Hmm... This guy is good, but he's too full of himself," Advika said, watching the battle.

"You're right. His main target shouldn't be the enemy before him, but the one below," Christopher said, while Advika nodded.

Seeing Maximo successfully cut off a head, Mitchell laughed:

"Hahahaha!! You think you can win against us?! By killing you, we'll win this test! Watch and learn, Mariana; you should---"

BOOOOM!!!!

He froze, feeling a head bursting out of the ground behind him... His face turned pale, feeling the claws of death getting nearer.

"Wha... What?"

He looked over his shoulder, only to see the maw of the head moving toward him.

CHOMP!!!!!

The head cut him in half; his lower body fell to the ground... Maximo, who was in a heated battle, suddenly disappeared from the land.

"Oh well, he tried," Christopher said, turning his head to Mariana.

"Huh?"

He was stunned, seeing her sitting cross-legged, with her eyes closed.

"I think she's... meditating?" Advika was stunned.

"That's her plan; she'll sit there until the time is up and win... We must stop her, or we'll lose."

"Not we; I'm holding top 1 on the board. You're the one losing," Advika said with a smile.

"There's a ranking board?" Christopher was stunned.

"Yes. Ask your guide to see yours."

Christopher nodded and quickly asked:

[Ranking board: Christopher: Top 25.]

Christopher sighed and asked:

"What about the monster?"

[WARNING!!]

[Threat's name: The Hundred-Headed Forbidden Worm.]

[Threat's level: Lv8.]

[Threat's stage: Mythical-stage.]

[Points: 103,900.]

"It entered the Mythical-stage?! This is beyond a test! There's no way anyone can win that."

He stood up.

"You have a point; that thing is more powerful than before," Advika said.

"You don't understand."

"Huh?"

Advika looked up at him, mildly confused.

""There's no way anyone can win that" means I'm the only one who can kill it... But she needs to die."

With a thought, a light flew out of the ring and transformed into the male lion.

"Go."

The lion nodded, turned around, and ran away.

"What are you planning?" Advika asked, frowning slightly.

"Just keep watching," Christopher answered, his smile turning into a smirk.

Rustle!

Mariana opened her eyes, looked over her shoulder, staring at the bushes, and with a thought... The white wolf shot forward.

GRRRRRAAAAAA!!!

A powerful roar sounded, pushing the white wolf towards Mariana.

"Hey!"

BAM!!

The two passed the boundary and entered the land.

"No! I need to get out of here!"

Mariana quickly stood up, but before she could move...

BOOOM!!!

200 heads burst out of the ground, surrounding her and her Beast in their center.

Whoosh!!!!

Christopher watched with a grin as the monster tore Mariana to pieces.

"And I thought I was heartless," Advika said.

"To survive, you have to do anything, even if it's disgusting," Christopher said, looking over his shoulder, staring at the male lion standing behind him.

"What now?" Advika asked, mildly confused.

"What now? It's time to kill this thing and claim all the points."
