chapter 3 ridiculously fast response time

There I was trying to get as much distance as physically possible from the last known location of my whereabouts. Every single time I land I get a face full of sand cuz as I trip over my own non-existent toes trying to stay off the military's radar since if comics are anything to go by General Ross will be tracking me down like a bloodhound.

What feels like 30 jumps later I start hearing the whooshing of a fighter jet. I turned back to not just see one not two but from what I could tell 20 full on fighter jets heading directly to where I am.

"Crap" is the only thing I could say before a missile got launched directly into my back causing me to get launched even further than one of my super jumps.

After blacking out for a few seconds I realize that I made a me-shaped imprint on a plateau. Pain was assaulting my back and my face was full of Rock. From how strong the weaponry is I could think it was either highly developed to fight a gamma enhance to being such as myself, or this might have been Stark Tech neither of which we're good. Digging out of the massive amount of Rock I find myself in I see well over two dozen tanks all with their cannons aimed right at me and before giving me any warning they all shot at me.

You all know the feeling about getting punched in the chest, right? Leaves you breathless and stunned if it's too hard of a hit. Well imagine getting hit 30 times in the chest in one moment by Mike Tyson that's how it felt like when I got hit by all those shells. Blown back a dozen feet, flat on my ass, and what felt like a crack of one of my ribs. I'm laying there trying to catch my breath and think about what I can do, then something hits me. Wasn't an idea no it was a giant fist, giant even for me. When I look up I see what could probably be the worst case scenario for me, the Red Hulk staring down at me in full military attire giving a cross between a grin and a snarl. He's nearly 15 ft tall and to make it even worse he has a massive bazooka looking gun on his back, like being a Hulk wasn't enough firepower for him he just had to go all America on my ass.

"Another gamma freak like you rolling around the birthplace of the Hulk, not a smart move. But you'll make a fine addition to the USA Army and worst case scenario we'll be able to send you over to the geeks in their little science labs and see what makes you a tick"

I was just about to open my mouth to talk and try and deescalate the situation only for him to start running at me at full tilt. Do you know how scary it is to have someone nearly 1.5 times as large as you running at you with the intent to beat the ever living s*** out of you? I'll bloody tell you, it's terrifying. I knew it for a fact I was not going to win this engagement, 2/3 his size, absolutely no f****** training in how to fight in this massive body versus his military experience, he has plenty of backup which I have none of, and to top it all off even if we were the same bloody size he would still be stronger than me due to the fact that I am one of the weaker Hulks due to the fact that I am not designed for Head to Head engagements I'm designed for hit and run tactics, curl up on the ball, turn invisible, and get the f*** out of dodge was my only option. As I'm running away as fast as I bloody can and he's keeping up and he's laughing he's enjoying the chase he could catch me anytime he wants we both know it and I'm doing my darndest to just try and turn on my camouflage.

What felt like hours when in all reality was probably only a couple minutes of running due to my high adrenaline-esque state I finally start turning my hand invisible. It feels weird but I have time to understand this feeling as I just try and stretch that feeling all over my entire body as I slowly blink out of existence before finally staying transparent.
