Soren
I didn't remember getting into my car. One second, I was standing in that godforsaken room with Rowan, my heart pounding like a war drum, and the next, I was gripping the steering wheel so tight my knuckles had gone white.
I should have hit him again. Should have screamed until my voice went hoarse. But I hadn't.
Instead, I walked away.
Coward.
The streets blurred past me, neon lights flashing in the darkness, but I barely saw them. My mind was stuck on his voice, the way he'd looked at me when he'd said those words.
"You only came back because you were horny, because you were scared I had moved on to another omega."
I clenched my jaw, shaking my head sharply as if that would force the words out of my skull.
He was wrong.
He had to be.
Yes, I admit that when I saw him getting chummy with that guy at the bar, I was a little jealous.
