In Asgard, the golden light always lingered on the horizon, making it seem as if time had come to a standstill.
Inside the golden hall, the Guardians of the Galaxy, along with Alan and his companions, continued their discussion on how to deal with Thanos' approaching army.
Among the Nine Realms, Asgard was a unique and independent dimension. Unlike the other realms, which were part of the same cosmic space, Asgard was connected to Earth and several extradimensional planes.
Unlike a traditional planet, Asgard resembled a flat plane. According to Marvel's lore, extradimensional spaces existed outside the conventional physical dimensions of the universe and couldn't be accessed through physical means or explained by normal physics.
Although Alan was familiar with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he lacked deep knowledge of the comic book interpretations of these settings. The Nine Realms he intended to unite actually included a mysterious extradimensional space, a fact only Hela was aware of.
"Alan, uniting the Nine Realms isn't as simple as you think," Hela said with a worried expression. She feared that he might leave Asgard to visit the other realms.
Seeing the concern in everyone's eyes, Alan decided to stop hiding things and called for the Red Queen.
"Thanos' goal is to wipe out half the life in the universe. To achieve that, he relies on the Infinity Stones. However, all of those stones are in my possession."
He glanced at Red Queen, and the AI girl immediately understood. She produced several Infinity Stones that radiated immense power, filling the golden hall with dazzling, otherworldly light.
Everyone stared in awe.
Gamora and Nebula were more emotional than anyone else, fully aware of the immense energy contained within the stones.
"One is missing?" Gamora quickly counted and noticed that the Time Stone was absent.
Alan nodded and explained, "The Time Stone is still on Earth, but I don't need that extra one. As long as these are with me, Thanos can't complete his plan."
Indeed, the Infinity Stones could only reach their full potential when united. With them in his possession, Alan felt no fear of Thanos.
Watching Alan's confident demeanor, Hela felt a surge of pride—this was the man she had set her sights on, strong enough to face any crisis.
Suddenly, a deep roar echoed from outside the golden hall, causing everyone to turn their heads. The air grew heavy as the large doors slowly opened, revealing a tall figure stepping into view.
It was Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard. Blessed by the gods with extraordinary sight and hearing, Heimdall could observe anything happening within the Nine Realms from Asgard.
Why was he here? Alan glanced at Hela.
Hela shifted her gaze guiltily. "When I came here, Heimdall disappeared. I had no idea where he went."
Before she could say more, Heimdall had already entered the hall. His expression was serious as his gaze locked onto Alan.
"So, you're the one they call Emperor?" Heimdall asked.
Alan nodded, and Heimdall continued, "The Chitauri are coming. I've come to warn you."
Moments ago, while hiding within Asgard, Heimdall had seen a massive army approaching the realm. He also witnessed how Hela, under the influence of this so-called Emperor, had released the imprisoned Asgardian warriors.
Heimdall believed that if Hela was willing to listen to him, this mysterious warrior might be the key to saving Asgard.
