Looking at myself in the mirror, I was stunned at how gorgeous this dress was. The sparkly red fabric was just gorgeous and the ruffles at the top were so unique.
I can't believe I was about to walk onto a runway and model this one of a kind dress for the Charity event infront of all those people- In Front of Ace.
"Feeling nervous? I know that feeling, I used to get scared back when I was an amateur like you. Scared that you might trip and fall, humiliate yourself in front of all those people...
But I can understand how much more scary this must be for you. Making sure you don't ruin this gorgeous dress-" Veronica says behind me
I turn to face her
"Im surprised that you're still in the modeling business, considering... your face" I say pointing with a disgusted face
She wants to play this game? Fine, but she ain't gonna win..
"ExCusE ME?" she gasps and I walk away
"Positon's everyone!" one of the stage directors yell telling us to exit the dressing room and go out to the lobby where the gala was happening.
I walk out of the dressing room and to my surprise, I see
Ace in front of me
"A-alex." he stops speaking and just looks at me in awe.
I blush and look away, why was he affecting me like Thissss.
He walks up closer to me and grabs my chin, turning my face to him "You somehow managed to look even more beautiful" he says looking me in the eyes.
I fall into his deep blue eyes and get lost until I snap myself back into my thoughts
"I, the dress is magnificent" I nervously laugh
"It's not the dress" he whispers still holding my face
"I really hope I see you tonight for dinner" he says with a pleading expression
"We will see Mr. Anderson..." I say with a smirk
I start to walk away to get into position for the fashion show "You're going to do great" he says
I turn to face him before I leave
"Can you promise me one thing" I say feeling my cheeks start to heat up again
"Anything for you" Ace says
"Don't watch the fashion show" I say
"Why not?" he questions confused
"...I... get nervous if I see you in the crowd and then Ill lose focus and Ill fall and humiliate myself and-" I quickly try to say but he cuts me off with a small chuckle
"You won't humiliate yourself.. But Don't worry, I'l look away" he says with a smile
"Okay good, thank you" I softly say and leave to get into position

I didn't even know it was possible to fall even more in love with Alexandra. She looked amazing in that dress.
I walk back to the gala and see David standing with a few other colleagues. David and I, used to be very close friends but now, not so0 much..
The show begins and the models all start to walk out one by one. There were a lot of dresses being sold for the auction. I see Veronica walk out and I get flashbacks to when we were dating years ago, and I would attend her shows.
The last person to walk out was Alexandra. She was wearing the beautiful red ball gown and she looked magnificent.
Everyone's attention was turned to her as she walked down the stage. I know she told me to look away when it was her turn, I just couldn't look away. I couldn't take my eyes off her.
I knew she was nervous about doing this show, but she walked down as if she owned that runway.
Her eyes meet mine and she starts to tense up, I quickly look away. She turns and is heading back down the runway.
I look over at David and immediately my fists tighten.
He was looking at Alex with lust in his eves. His facial expression angered me and all I wanted to do was punch the fuck out of him.
He turns his head and notices I caught him staring so he quickly looks away ashamed. As soon as the show is Over we both walk out into the hallway away from the crowd.
"Man it's not what you think, she's just a friend-" I grab his shirt and push him against the wall with anger written all over my face
"If I ever catch you looking at her like that again, I'll make sure you never see anything again" I threaten
I'm about to swing my fist but stop myself from doing so.
I let go of him and walk away from the wall
"We used to be friends David, so I know the kind of person you are... Im warning you" I say

I change back into my original dress and grab my clutch, walking downstairs to the hallway. As I walk down, I see
David and Ace so I walk up to them
"Hey" I say and David immediately looks up at me, then at Ace and leaves without saying a word
..wtf was wrong with him?
I looked over at Ace who looked angry, did something happen?
He looks Over at me and immediately his expression softens
"You... you promised me you weren't going to watch" I say feeling the embarrasSment at how stupid my nerves were
"You did great, and I'm sorry! I couldn't help it, especially with everyone in that room checking you out.." he says the last part in a more serious tone
He looks away angry and I notice his fists start to clench.
Did something happen? "Ace, is everything alright?" I ask worried and turn his face towards me.
He lookS at me with this deep gaze and I start to feel my heart beat faster and I feel the blood rushing through my veins
"Shall I drive you to the restaurant for a late dinner?" he questions
"...no"I answer
"I will drive home in my own car, and I may or may not stop by for dinner. I guess you just gotta wait and see" I say with a smirk and walk past him, leaving the gala.
I get into my car and drive back to the penthouse. The whole time, I was just thinking about how nervous I was around Ace today... Even though I tried to hide it for the most part, he still made me feel something and just couldn't stop ignoring it anymore. I know what he's done was selfish and wrong, especially lying to me.
But, I think it's time to give him a chance. He really does care for me and what he did today at the gala, donate the most money for the auction, just to give me the dinner invitation, and how he's willing to wait for me at the restaurant even though I told him I may or may not come... It was time I finally gave Ace Anderson a chance because... because I too loved him!
I enter the penthouse and quickly change into something more appropriate for a dinner. I decide to wear black jeans and a fancy top with a long coat and pair it with black heels. I grab the envelope with the restaurant address.
Getting back down to my car, I GPS the restaurant and start to drive off.
I finally reach "Le Mormont" and walk into the restaurant
"Good evening Ms" the waiter says walking upto me
"Hi, I'm here to meet Ace Anderson" I say
"There's no one here yet by that name, would you like to wait at a table for him?" the waiter asks
"Sure" I answer and he walks me over to a table.
I was surprised Ace wasn't here yet.. Maybe I was just early
So I start to wait.

As soon as Alex left the gala, I immediately drove right to the restaurant. I park my car at "Norma Restaurant" and walk in..
The waiter shows me to my reserved table and I sit, waiting to see Alex would show up or not.
I made an agreement with myself that if Alex shows up tonight, which I had a strong feeling that she would, then there was still a chance for us. If she doesn't show up, then I think it's time for me to finally give her the space she needs. I would want to respect her wishes and maybe she just doesn't feel the same about me anymore.
So I wait at the restaurant, and what are minutes, turn into hours, waiting...

I sit waiting and waiting at the restaurant but no Ace.
Was he really going to stand me up during a dinner he asked me to come too?
I pick up my phone and hesitate to call him... Should I?
Im about to press his number but I stop.
He invited me and didn't come... I think the message was quite clear. I don't want to look like a fool for calling.

I pick up my phone to call her. But I stop. She said she might or might not come. I shouldn't call, maybe she's gonna come at the last minute and is just testing my patience to see if I will wait for her, so I wait, until closing time.
A couple hours later, the waiter comes up to me "Sir I'm sorry but the restaurant is now closed" the waiter says
She didn't come....
