Chapter 155: Jiang Yi Is Here Again

Before coming here, Lu Yunque indeed hadn't thought about what extra benefit he might request from the university. However, since Principal Xu had offered, it would seem impolite not to accept some advantage.

But offhand, Lu couldn't think of any immediate service Teikyo University could provide for Lu Group.

Since he couldn't figure it out himself, he decided to let someone else propose an idea.

"Principal Xu, in your opinion, what can the school provide Lu Group?"

"Hmm…"

Momentarily stumped, Xu Yunzhen soon had a flash of inspiration. "Perhaps we can establish a school–enterprise partnership. What do you think, Mr. Lu?"

A large company like Lu Group demands high-caliber recruits. Teikyo University, one of the nation's top schools, fits those requirements.

This arrangement would also bolster the school's employment statistics. A win–win.

Lu cast a thoughtful glance at Xu, conceding the idea felt a bit like an abacus striking his face with its cleverness. Indeed, bringing talented graduates on board could benefit Lu Group too.

"Principal Xu, please discuss specifics with our HR director."

Typically, Lu Yunque didn't handle day-to-day recruiting.

"Understood! I'll have someone contact your company soon. Mr. Lu is certainly a decisive man!"

Nowadays, job-hunting is tough even for Teikyo grads, let alone landing positions in elite chaebol-like companies such as Lu.

At this juncture, Yun Zijin had nothing to add. As for her newly established Qingjin Charity Foundation, top Teikyo graduates likely wouldn't be interested.

Once the contract was signed, it neared noon, and Principal Xu suggested the six of them dine together.

In typical Chinese fashion, any major discussion ends with a meal.

"No, no," Yun declined, "I have bodyguards outside. I can't let them starve while we're comfortably eating in a private room. Besides, I have other errands after this."

Yesterday, the system had granted her 10 storefronts on Xinghua Road, and Yun wanted to check them out. Some prominent figures live around Xinghua, and she hadn't expected Suibianhua would even acquire these local shops.

"It's no problem. I'll simply open another private room next to ours for them, order a full table as well," Xu enthused.

He firmly believed they should share a meal. After all, the building donation from Yun and Lu was a huge boon.

"Principal Xu is right," Lu added. "I already reserved a room at Yiyuan Residence—it's perfect timing."

Lu had prepared this plan earlier, instructing Mo Bin to book a private room in a nearby hotel. Even with bodyguards, they could simply have a second private room for them.

Hearing both Xu and Lu insist, Yun felt refusing further would be rude, so she conceded.

"All right, let's dine. Please trouble Mr. Lu to arrange an extra private room for my security."

Of course, Lingyi would attend as Yun's assistant.

"Certainly. Let's do that. Mo Bin, call the hotel and have them add another room."

"Right away, President."

With that, Mo Bin found Yiyuan Residence's number on his phone and requested an additional private room.

Once all was settled, they left Xu's office and drove off.

On the route from Teikyo University to Yiyuan Residence, they passed Wangyou Milk Tea Shop. The distinctive Ferrari Enzo that Yun drove flashed by, and many inside the shop recognized their boss's car.

Some inquired with Qin Sitong, but she honestly knew no details—only that Yun was busy.

Meanwhile, Yun and company soon arrived at Yiyuan Residence.

Stepping into Yiyuan, Yun was immediately drawn by the lush decor: green as the dominant hue, with leafy plants everywhere. Evidently, the owner must love greenery.

"Hello, do you have a reservation?"

"Yes, under the name Lu."

The front desk asked for details, and Mo Bin showed the reservation on his phone.

"All right, your rooms are 506 and 507. Please follow me."

After the front desk clerk's instructions, a staffer came over to guide them.

They took the elevator, turned a corner, and soon arrived at the private rooms they'd booked.

"These are your reserved rooms," the staffer said, opening the door.

Inside was a traditional round table. Since Mo Bin had reserved for six, it wasn't massive, but still rather upscale.

Yun and the five others went into 506, while Ling Er led the bodyguards to 507.

A staffer called over another server, each heading into 506 and 507.

"Here are your menus. Would you like to order now?"

The staffer placed two menus on the table.

"Let's order now. We'll take a look," said Xu, feeling obliged, as the older person, to be gracious. He handed the menus to Yun and Lu.

"We'll just browse ourselves. Don't worry about us," Lu said amiably, sitting beside Yun so they could share a single menu.

Xu didn't object, having already signaled that if the younger pair wanted to read together, he'd leave them be.

Wangyou Milk Tea Shop:

After Yun left, Jiang Yi reappeared—and this time, he wasn't alone.

Qin Sitong eyed the tall, formidable newcomers, feeling slightly intimidated but remaining outwardly calm. She led them to an empty table and took a seat.

"Gentlemen, may I help you?"

All Forget-Your-Worries milk tea had sold out today, so even if they'd wanted some, it wasn't possible. If the two new hires hadn't come to lighten the workload, Qin might not have time for them.

"Hello. I'm Jiang Yi, from the JUN side. I've bought your Forget-Your-Worries milk tea twice."

"Thanks for your support, but we're sold out of that today, sorry."

They'd exhausted all ingredients for the day, so even wanting to whip up a new batch was impossible without the key supplies.

"Well, here's the situation. The last batch of milk tea I bought, I gave it to an old gentleman. He's now full of vigor and wants to meet the owner of Wangyou Milk Tea Shop. I wonder if that's feasible."

But Jiang Yi found himself even more curious about another matter. For some reason, he felt that the "other boss's" version of the milk tea tasted better, though he couldn't articulate why. Bad timing today, apparently.

"I'm sorry. I only handle management. Our real boss is someone else. I can convey the request for you, but I can't promise anything."
