At that moment Kai and Carlos stepped out of the station, the crisp morning air doing little to lighten the tension between them.

As they walked side by side, Kai glanced at Carlos, his voice calm but laced with curiosity.

"So, what do you make of this mass killing they're talking about?"

Hearing what Kai just said.

Carlos smirked faintly, his hands tucked casually into his coat pockets.

"I've never seen anything like it," he admitted, his tone light but with an edge of unease. "It's almost like God decided to send down one of His angels to clean up this town."

At that moment Kai's eyes narrowed, studying Carlos carefully. "And do you believe that?" His question was pointed, almost daring Carlos to reveal more than he intended.

Immediately Carlos laughed softly, shaking his head.

"Of course not. God doesn't exist, Kai. But demons? Oh, demons are very real."
