I left the block and went to my academic block. Now at the very least I could assume a few things— Satou was an asset and so was Suzuki.
Both were wild guesses but that was what I had to go by at least for now, I don't know what else to assume especially in Suzuki's case.
Come on I know I wasn't the best boyfriend, but I didn't do anything to deserve being falsely accused and expelled.
On reaching class, I could feel the change in the way my classmates looked at me.
I could guess why they looked at me before, it was probably because Satou said that people shouldn't get involved with me.
I didn't know exactly how but I don't believe it was done directly because people will probably just not follow it.
It was done covertly that implies that he had influence on most people in this school.
That's alarming. What makes it more alarming was what Kagura said on Friday and the fact Hiro didn't tell me anything.
The subject teacher entered signaling that it was time for class. So I had sit on my seat—beside Suzuki and in front of Yumemiya.
The classes before lunch were awkward, the fact RP came from your actual reputation was nothing short of crazy.
The main thing is how easily Suzuki expelled me, I didn't notice she was lying or that it was an act.
What more was that she was this close to expelling me, if not for nepotism or what not.
I needed to be wary of her. A thing that bothered me was the reason why the other assets wanted to expel me.
I couldn't focus on that, so I began to stare outside the window.
I wish I could just leave this place, but I can't, and I'll have to actually act or rather intervene.
Enough whining, I'm not some weak child that can't handle this.
Eventually lunch came along, to no one's surprise it was even worse.
I normally sat in class to each lunch and because of that fact I could the uncensored hate and exasperation from my classmates.
I packed myself udon and was enjoying it quietly until I got a message from an unknown account—it was named Yui-chan.
Ok what's with people and adding honorifics to their own names.
The name was similar to someone I had met before when I was still dating Suzuki, the girl from the arcade.
She was supposedly Kisaragi's lover; her name was Tsubasa Yui. She was friends with Suzuki—childhood friends.
The text in it of itself didn't surprise me as since everyone had access to each other through the accounts.
Moreover, her texting me wasn't out of the ordinary, it was highly probable that Suzuki lied to her about me so then Tsubasa was trying to confront.
However, I was surprised at the contents of the message. She requested that we enter an alliance.
I saw the message but still couldn't believe my eyes, had Suzuki not lied to her about me.
Though I had seen the message I hadn't entered the chat. That was one of the advantages of Koda, you could view the chat as a notification and choose not to answer it.
However, it was a two-edged sword—especially in this situation.
Let's think for a sec, if I were to send you a message and you didn't want to answer, you could lie and say I was busy or I went out.
Both scenarios weren't a really good reason in this case because school abolishes those two reasons.
You might ask why am I overanalyzing? It's because of those other assets.
I entered the chat.
Yui: Let's be in an alliance.
This is most likely a ploy but let's see what's going on.
Me: Who's this?
Yui: You don't know?
Me: Nope.
Yui: Tsubasa Yui?
It seems I was right; it was her. I wonder why she wants an alliance.
Me: Oh, you're Kisaragi's girlfriend.
Yui: But we broke up.
Me: Oh, I see. Sorry to hear that.
Yui: Oh, don't worry.
I need to meet in person to gauge her responses, messages aren't enough.
Me: Hey, why don't we meet up in person?
Yui: That's what I was thinking. OMG, twinsies! 😊
Talk about energetic.
Me: So where?
Yui: Just meet me at where I am.
Me: Where are you?
Yui: Just track my location.
There's a way to do that? I'm sure it's for some kind of safety measure.
Me: Through Koda right?
Yui: Yeah.
It was a feature that wasn't obvious—by tapping on the person's name you'll see their location.
Tsubasa was on the rooftop; she was eating her lunch on a bench. I sat beside her to begin our conversation.
"Yo," I hid my underlying skeptism.
I couldn't wrap my head around the fact that she wanted to be my ally, so I was on guard—I acted friendly to get to the bottom of this.
"Hey," she replied with enthusiasm.
"So first things first, what do you think of my nails? I got them done yesterday."
"I don't know how to reply that."
I could have said it was glamorous or some other compliment, but I didn't want any further questions.
"Geez! Just say they look pretty or something like that."
So I could say something like that, huh?
"I'm sorry?" I mistakenly phrased it as a question.
"Talk about a half-assed apology, you're not forgiven. Hmph!" she pouted.
"I'm so—" I didn't continue, I understood what she was trying to do.
She tried to sway me, she almost brought down my guard. If I wasn't already skeptical, I wouldn't have noticed.
"So back on track, about our alliance," I continued.
"Yeah."
"I don't want to be in one with you."
"Is that so?" a grin began to form at the corner of her mouth.
"To be frank, I see no benefit with allying with you."
"Wouldn't you want to ally with an asset?"
It adds up, I suspected that since the moment she almost broke through my guard. However…
"Are you really one? How would you prove it?"
"Yes I am, now I'll be taking my leave. My advice is ally with me," she left the rooftop.
"…"
She didn't answer the second question and that's the problem. I can't tell if she's an asset or not. I wonder can I—
The bell rang, interrupting my internal monologue. It was twice that the bell had done that.
"Man, I'm thankful I ate before coming here."
