Now, he had added the Paramecia-type Mirror-Mirror Fruit, the Paramecia-type Door-Door Fruit, and the Paramecia-type Flourish-Flourish Fruit to his collection.
However, the Bubble-Bubble Fruit was excluded from the safe; Charlotte had decided to reward one of his outstanding maids with it.
Now, there was only one Devil Fruit left to examine.
This particular Devil Fruit had been saved for last because of its shape. It resembled a pineapple—a design often associated with Logia-type fruits.
Charlotte's eyes gleamed as he observed the fruit's purple body adorned with patterns resembling air currents. He had a strong suspicion about its identity.
To confirm his guess, he flipped to the Logia section of the Devil Fruit Encyclopedia.
"As expected! The Logia-type Gas Fruit! Isn't this the same fruit used by Caesar Clown in the original story? And now it's here in my hands!"
Charlotte held the Gas Fruit with undisguised joy.
The Gas Fruit was by no means weak—in fact, no Logia-type fruit could be considered weak. As a Logia, its user would naturally become intangible and immune to conventional attacks unless countered by Armament Haki, seastone, or seawater.
However, in the original series, Caesar Clown had squandered its potential. While Caesar was a brilliant scientist, he lacked the combat talent necessary to fully exploit the fruit's abilities.

Among his own collection, Charlotte possessed a 21 O Wazamono Western Sword named Holy Realm Judgment, seized years ago from a pirate he had defeated. However, Charlotte preferred double-edged swords and had little use for rapiers.
But then he remembered his daughter, Esdeath. She seemed to favor rapiers, and it was time to pass one down to her.
"Her next birthday is coming up," Charlotte thought. "She'll be five years old and ready to start practicing swordsmanship."
Charlotte smiled at the thought of Esdeath swinging a wooden sword around the island, already showing talent at her young age.
With that, he retrieved the Holy Realm Judgment from the bottom of the safe, stored in a beautifully crafted wooden box.
