Aboard the Luxurious Vessel

The Bernard Empire, had sent forth a ship so opulent that even the most jaded nobles found themselves reeling.

A beast of steel and splendor, its decks gleamed under the sun, its white hull slicing through the ocean like a blade through silk.

The nobles, still rattled by their sudden displacement from solid ground, shuffled aboard, their silken robes dragging slightly in the salty air. But the moment their feet kissed the polished deck, a new wave of shock hit them square in the face.

Marquis Sam was the first to break. He clutched his temple as if it might keep his brain from leaking out. "God above, I cannot take another surprise. Who in their right mind puts a pond on a ship? It's already floating on a goddamned sea!"

Duke Gorge, squinted at the shimmering water and mused, "Perhaps it's drinking water? Look how clear it is. Must be for emergencies."
