Visit to the Bernard Empire (1)

At 0200 hours, the ship had already ventured into the Monstrous Sea, its passengers—nobles from the Kingdom of Britannia—still deep in slumber within their chambers. As they sailed onward, a dense fog rolled in, a notorious phenomenon in these waters. This mist, laced with the distant rumbles of thunder, was known to spell doom for unwary travelers.

The vessel pressed forward, its escort ships flanking it on either side. Time stretched unbearably within the thick veil of mist until, at last, they emerged into open waters. With the horizon now visible, the journey continued uninterrupted. Along the way, they sighted several Fubuki-class destroyers patrolling the area.

By 0500 hours, the nobles stirred awake, beginning their morning routines. An hour later, they were assembled in the dining hall, where breakfast awaited them. Conversations soon filled the air.
