LILY
The little girl had been so absorbed in life that she'd taken her life problems to school.
By now, even Joshua and a few of her classmates, sans the purged Trinity, were already aware that she was about to have a little niece or nephew, and she had been very excited.
But that was also the source of her most recent concerns.
Lily couldn't understand why the adults were taking it all in stride. Why did no one else think there was too little time now and that they wouldn't have enough time to prepare for the baby's arrival?
Of course, as a child, Lily's focus differed from that of the adults. And that was largely because of the differing opinions she's been getting from her classmates.
They told her the baby might not like her if she didn't get the right toy or game. Some of the kids described how the babies at their house would cry when they weren't given what they wanted.
