Chapter 747: Porygon!

If a battle broke out on the top floor of Jubilife TV, none of the three involved would likely be able to escape.

Even with the option to teleport, success wasn't guaranteed. Would anyone really think that a place as important as Jubilife TV wouldn't have experts stationed there?

However, if he didn't stop those people now, Cain suspected they could interfere with his own plans or even alert the target he had been searching for so long.

Although the intruders might not know it, for someone like Cain, who had dedicated so much effort, any unexpected development was unacceptable.

He had no choice. Cain decided to act before they did, but he had to avoid drawing too much attention. Avoiding combat would be ideal.

Cain communicated telepathically with his Gengar to explain the plan. Gengar gave a subtle nod, indicating he understood, and then melted into a shadow that silently slipped through the gap in the door.

Cain placed his hand on the control room's access panel and, with the help of his system, forced the door open. A soft "click" echoed in the air as the lock disengaged.

"Who's there?" the two people inside exclaimed, visibly alarmed by the sound of the door.

The room was dark, and Cain took advantage of the dim lighting to slip in quickly. Before the occupants could react, Gengar had already moved.

With precise movements, he grabbed both of their ankles and hurled them toward a wall. Their attempts to reach for the Poké Balls on their belts were futile, as Gengar snatched them away before they could release their Pokémon.

The man reacted first, his expression hardening as he realized they were in danger. While his companion remained frozen in shock, he decided to act. He assumed that since the attacker had snuck in just like they had, he must be another intruder.

So, if they couldn't get what they came for, neither would their opponent. About to shout and alert the entire building, the man braced himself for impact against the wall—only for something unexpected to happen.

Instead of crashing into solid structure, both of them tumbled onto the ground. But it wasn't the clean, polished floor of the control room—it was a dusty, dirt-covered surface. Stunned, the man shut his mouth, and his companion looked at him with the same confusion.

Cain had no intention of fighting them, let alone wasting time. He needed to act fast. After ensuring that Gengar had done his part, Cain used the power of the Unown he carried to open a portal to an alternate dimension on the control room's wall.

Gengar, perfectly in sync, tossed the intruders into the portal, sealing it behind them. Cain didn't bother interrogating them—the fate of those Team Galactic members didn't concern him. Removing the obstacle was all that mattered.

Wasting no more time, Cain approached the main computer in the room and placed his hand on the system. His priority was to find his target: a Pokémon that, technically, didn't even belong to the physical world.

This Pokémon was nothing more than a complex set of data, a digital program that manifested as a living being.

Its name was... Porygon.

Porygon, the first Pokémon artificially created by humans in the modern era, had emerged due to an accident in Team Rocket's experiments years ago. While artificial Pokémon were nothing new—Golett had also been created by ancient civilizations—Porygon was the first case of a Pokémon developed in the technological age.

Its most remarkable trait was its ability to move freely through cyberspace, interact with networks and electronic systems, and bypass most security protocols with alarming ease.

Cain remembered that, in the future, one of Ash's rivals, Gary, would have a Porygon2 capable of traveling between electronic devices and assisting in battles with ingenious tactics. While Porygon2 was a more advanced evolution, its basic functionality was similar to that of Porygon.

For a long time, Cain had been using his system to track signals that indicated Porygon's presence in digital systems. Team Rocket's initial creation had led to the production of two Porygon specimens, but over time, these digital beings had begun to replicate themselves.

Although their reproduction rate was slow, new generations of Porygon had gradually emerged, some of which evolved into Porygon2 or even Porygon-Z.

Team Rocket had created Porygon with the intention of using it as a tool to infiltrate the Pokémon League's networks and steal sensitive information. However, the plan hadn't gone as expected.

Upon accessing cyberspace, Porygon had escaped Team Rocket's control and become an independent entity. Cain had spent a long time tracking one of these Pokémon, and finally, his search had led him to Jubilife TV in Jubilife City.

With his hand still on the system, Cain began deploying a virtual net across the network to locate Porygon. The task wasn't easy. Although his system was advanced, Porygon had spent a long time adapting to cyberspace, and its ability to move between systems made it extremely elusive.

Cain spent half an hour narrowing the search before finally detecting it. When Porygon tried to escape, it was already too late.

With a swift motion, Cain used the system to "drag" Porygon out of cyberspace. Before him, an angular figure composed of polygons appeared, with vibrant colors and a shape resembling a three-dimensional puzzle.

He finally had it.

Porygon, the Pokémon he had sought for so long, was now under his control.
