A War Is On The Horizon

(Drakken's POV)

[The Tower, Riverlands]

I leaned back on my chair, placing my legs on the desk, "Lord Bracken. Last time I saw you, you pleaded for you and your wife's lives." I said as I held a pipe in my hand, "What brings you to my humble abode?"

Lord Bracken stood in front of my desk, "L-Lord Drakken...." He said, "I have heard of what you've declared on the Riverlands. House Tully has sent their men all throughout the region and ensuring that no other House decides to listen to you."

We were on the third level of the Tower, in my study. Inside this room, I had several noble decorations and antiques that I had stolen from all over the Realm over the years. I once snuck into Storm's End and stole a Stag's head that was in Boremund Baratheon's own chambers and mounted it on my wall. Along with several decorative armors that were lined up, I had rugs and carpets from all over the Seven Kingdoms.

Mya stood next to me, without wearing her cloak and all I can say is that I was a bit distracted by the curves that were outlined by her black dress that was somewhat tight.

I held a smoking pipe carved out of a pitch-black bone, twirling it around in my fingers as I looked at Lord Bracken.

"What of it?" I said with a raised eyebrow

"I am here to ask if you are going to force House Blackwood and House Bracken to fight again. My nephew....he did not deserve to die...at her hands..." He said with a serious frown

"Ho?" Mya said, "Your Houses have feuded for generations. Why was that battle so wrong?"

Lord Bracken glared at her, "Listen here you bas-"

"Tsk tsk!" I cut him off, "Mya Rivers is not a bastard, not here. Not in my territory. Mya Rivers is mine, do you understand, Lord Bracken? You will show her some respect."

"M-My Lord." He said as he gulped, "I humbly come and ask to spare my House. I have spoken to Lord Tully, he already has his eyes on us. On Houses Bracken and Blackwood."

"Mya." I said as I extended my hand holding the pipe to her

She reached for a small container on my desk, opened the lid, and picked some herbs from it. She placed the herbs inside the pipe, tapping it firmly. She did all this with a smile, giving me a suggestive look.

I pulled my hand towards me and sprouted a small flame in my fingertip, placing the pipe in my mouth and lighting the herbs.

After a few seconds of huffing, I felt a sense of relief spread throughout my body as my head felt a bit numb. I leaned back and exhaled a large cloud of white smoke, a smile creeping on my face as I felt the nice sensation fill me entirely. [a/n: Don't do drugs, kids]

I showed Lord Bracken the pipe, "Do you know what this is made of?"

"N-No..." He said with a frown

"Balerion, The Black Dread." I said with a smirk

"What?!" He exclaimed

"This pipe is carved out of Balerion's bone." I said with a chuckle, "The symbol of Targaryen power, the great destroyer. The one who is responsible for all this land being conquered. And I carved a smoking pipe from his bone. Tell me, Lord Bracken, simply by learning this.....do you seriously think I give a shit what a mere Fish-fuck thinks or says?"

He stepped back, still shocked by the information I relayed to him.

"I..." He stammered

"House Blackwood can stay worshipping their Old Gods...." I said seriously as I began to smoke from the pipe again, giving him a glare, "I don't give a shit about them. But you lot...you're loyal to the Faith of The Seven, no? Pathetic....where are your gods? Nowhere!!"

"L-Lord Drakken, I...." He started

"He is the God of War and Death, Lord Bracken." Mya said with a soft tone, "War.....that is what is coming. And if your House does not renounce the Faith and convert to the one true god, then you will be destroyed and your line will end. Tell me, what is worse than that?"

"T-That won't be allowed!" Lord Bracken said, "T-The King-"

"Fuck the King." I said with a serious scowl, "What is a King to a God?"

"Lord Drakken, please reconsider..." he said, "We had peace, years of peace!"

"And that peace is over." I said, "I would think of sending innocent people away....bring them here, expand my settlement....so long as they convert to me....well, they will be safe. And if anyone harms my people, they will be destroyed....wiped off the face of this wretched land....."

I exhaled another cloud of smoke as I looked at Mya.

"You can now leave, My Lord." Mya told him, "Currently, Lord Drakken is in a good mood. By staying here any longer, you might change that. I will not be able to guarantee your safety."

Lord Bracken then turned around and hurried away.

As he exited the room and closed the door, I couldn't help but chuckle.

"Heh." I said as I smoked from the pipe, "How goes our scheme?"

"I have spread my power throughout the Riverlands, My Lord..." She said, "When the time is right, I will strike and the conflict you wish for will happen. Are you sure you want to stay in the Riverlands? We can always go and spread our influence into the Westerlands, the Reach, and even up North...."

"One thing at a time, dear." I said as I exhale more smoke

She looked at me, "A mere girl insulted you..." She said, "Why does she still live?"

"I don't know." I said as I shrugged

"And why do you still want her?" Mya asked me

"She's mine." I told her, "Just like you."

"You didn't bring her with you." She said as she sat on the table, looking at me, "Why?"

"Ah, I was pissed." I said, "But the thing is...the way she spoke to me....I never thought I would meet someone who would have the balls to do so. I wonder....after torturing her brothers, would she still speak to me that way? If so, she's a creature like no other. And I like it. Her willpower, her faith, her resolve!"

"You offend me, My Lord. I was not that way." She said with a smile, "You say you like her faith. But it bothers you that said Faith isn't pointed towards you?"

"Hm." I said as I looked away

"But you have someone who does have such faith in you." She moved my legs down to the ground, "Me."

She then crawled on top of me, wrapping her arms around my neck as she sat on me, leaning into me and pressing herself against me.

"You aren't that pious." I said as she patted my cheek

"But I am faithful....to you...." She said, "You are everything to me, My Lord."

"She isn't fundamentally shattered like you are." I said, "I want her. I want that kind of faith. The one that she was born with. Something so strong....so powerful....I saw it in her eyes, the kind of heart she has. I want her...."

"She is yours, right?" She whispered to my ear

"Yes." I said, "She is."

"Then why not take her?" She asked me

"Because another religion already has her. I am a god...." I said, "Any and all Houses that worship the Seven will fall to me. That much I have decided. Those who worship the Old Gods will be spared."

"So you wish to teach her a lesson....that their Faith didn't save them from you....is that right?" Mya asked me

"That's right." I said

"Magnificent..." She said, "Will you use our creature?"

"Not necessarily." I said, "I have something else in mind."

"My Lord...." She said softly

"What is it?" I asked her

"I have served you faithfully...." She said

"And what of it?" I said

"If I wage war for you, will I get what I always wanted." She asked me

"Sure." I said, "But wage war properly for me."

"And it's yours."
