Chapter 14: The Course

When he was in the classroom he saw how he was the last to arrive. He saw how Kamari and Blake waved to him from the back of the classroom. They were sitting next to each other. There was only one spot left and that was right beside one girl who looked familiar but couldn't pinpoint where he had seen her before. 

When he sat down he quickly realized why this seat was empty. To his right he saw how she had a gun on the table in front of her and other dangerous things. Vexx tried to force a smile even though it was hard. "Hello... I'm Vexx... Who are you?"

The girl looked towards Vexx and started to smile and that's when it hit him. It was the crazy girl who had fought against Naomi. "My name is Sky Hill!" She said while smiling towards him. At first Vexx thought it was a little creepy but it started to grow on him. 

"What are you doing with the weapons?" Vexx asked with a hint of curiosity. When Sky saw his interest she went on a long explanation on all her weapons and how they all were very special to her as her father had made them all. 

Vexx couldn't keep up with her but tried his best as he thought it was interesting. There weren't many who used guns in this day and age. The usual bullets didn't do much against many beasts thats why people usually used swords with powers as they could be obtained from the beast. The beasts have cores inside them. It usually takes the shape of a round crystal ball. 

The different crystals that have been found are Basic, Rare, Menace, Terror, Fallen, Demon, Supreme. This is also what the rank of the weapons, armor and the monsters that live. The weapons and armor are called magic weapons and armors due to the fact that most weapons that are created will have some sort of magical property to it. The armor could enhance strength, speed, stamina or even give some magic resistances. 

When fighting the dark monsters Vexx was too focused on survival to take the crystals with him. 

After a few minutes the teacher came in from the door. To Vexx surprise the person who came in was none other than Albert which made him happy as he had liked Albert from the start. When he stood in front of the class he looked at every one and then clapped his hand and a screen appeared behind him.

"Hello my name is Albert and i will be your advisor for the next three years. What that means is if any of you have any questions then you can come to me and ask. So today won't be the usual lesson." As he said those words he pressed a button on the clock on his wrist. When he had pressed it everyone could feel their wrist vibrate as they got a message.

When Vexx opened the message he saw different types of courses but before he could look through them all Albert had started to speak again. "Now you will choose which direction you want to take. If you would like to use a type of weapon or just your fist and Soulabilities. I would advise to choose carefully as you can't switch when you have chosen. The only time you can change is after one year as that is when we think we have teached you all we can about a specific weapon."

When it was time for them to choose, Vexx looked at the screen in front of him. "What do I want to choose? I have the sword from the Dark Tyrant but I need to get better at hand to hand combat." When he thought about the possibilities he remembered the video about the dark fighting style. 

After he remembered the video he chose the weapon category and then came to another choice. Where he pressed the sword icon. When he had pressed the sword and the screen disappeared. After he was done he looked back to his side to see that Sky had looked right where the screen had been which made Vexx a little uncomfortable but asked what she had chosen. 

"I chose the gun course," She said with a smile. Vexx looked at her and asked. "I didn't know that there was one that included guns," Vexx said with a surprised look. "It Isn't very popular but because every one that uses other long range weapons as bows are more popular they have us together" 

Vexx looked back and saw that Blake had already chosen but he noticed that Kamari still hadn't chosen which course he wanted to go. 

After 10 minutes of waiting everyone had chosen a course. The rest of the lesson was a tour of the school and the rules that needed to be followed. "You are allowed to fight with each other but it needs to be in one of the training fields. If it isn't then there will be punishment" Albert spoke with a serious tone. This was a thing Vexx didn't really expect as it would be hard to keep tabs on everyone at the same time. 

When the lesson was over they were free for the rest of the day. Vexx said goodbye to Sky and walked over towards Blake and Kamari. "So what did you two choose?" He asked them. "We both choose the martial art course." Blake said. "What did you choose?" Kamri asked. "I choose sword fighting." He got a look from both of them and eventually Kamari asked. "Do you have a sword?" 

Vexx nodded his head with a strange look and asked "Is it that surprising that i choose it?" Vexx said while looking at them both. "No... I just thought that you just fought with your fists." Blake said and stood up and started walking towards the door. "Do you want to go into town for some shopping. Both nodded and got to walking. 

When they left the school it was about 30 minutes to get to the big shopping mall. When they were inside the big city. Vexx couldn't stop staring at the big shops around him. Vexx and Kamari had just followed Blake so when he stopped they looked at the shop. The shopp was smaller than the rest and the building looked rugged and stood out among the big and clean shops everywhere.
