Chapter 27
"Dowager Amelia," one of the elders, a tall man with a commanding presence, greeted her with a slight bow. His name was Elder Conrad, known for his wisdom and unwavering loyalty. "We weren't sure if you would come."
"Of course I came," Amelia replied, her tone firm yet respectful. "And I've brought Tanin. As High Luna, it's her duty to be informed about the Pack's matters, especially when they are as pressing as this."
The elders nodded in agreement, their gazes shifting to Tanin. Though her title demanded respect, Tanin still felt the weight of their scrutiny. She straightened her back, determined to show them she was more than capable of fulfilling her role.
"Thank you for bringing her," Elder Serena, a female elder with kind yet sharp eyes, said. "This matter cannot be delayed any longer."
"What's happened?" Tanin asked, her voice steady despite the tension in the room.
