Chapter 68

Chapter 68

Three Days Later…

Tanin felt like a ghost in her own body. Three days had passed, yet it felt like time had stopped. She barely ate, barely spoke, barely felt anything except the crushing weight in her chest.

This afternoon, Amelia sat beside her at the dining table, her worried eyes watching Tanin push food around her plate without taking a single bite.

"You have to eat," Amelia urged softly. "For your baby, at least."

Tanin sighed. She wasn't hungry, but she forced herself to take a few spoonfuls. It tasted like nothing. Everything tasted like nothing.

She could still hear Leila's panicked voice from three days ago, telling her that all the evidence—the recordings of Kitana's phone calls, the documents about the missing omegas—had disappeared from her computer. Completely wiped out.
