Chapter 75
After finishing the bowl of chicken soup, Tanin felt much better. The warmth from the meal eased the nausea, and the exhaustion that had weighed on her earlier seemed to lighten.
Damian, who had been watching her carefully, finally spoke.
"Come with me," he said, standing up and holding out his hand.
Tanin raised an eyebrow. "Where are we going?"
"Just for a short walk in the garden," he said. "It'll help you feel even better."
Tanin hesitated for a second, but when she saw the way Damian was looking at her—**concerned but determined—**she sighed and took his hand.
"Alright," she murmured.
Damian led her out of the house and into the garden, where the morning sun shone gently through the leaves of the tall trees. The fresh scent of roses, jasmine, and lavender filled the air. Birds chirped lightly in the background, and the soft breeze carried the scent of the earth.
Tanin inhaled deeply, feeling more at ease.
