Ch. 84 - The Great War! [21]

After the surprise of the werewolf Alpha setting aside his pride and kneeling to me, I quickly helped him to stand back up.

"You're ruining your image as an alpha of a werewolf pack, stand up," I said as I assisted him.

Wallace, reluctant to release his kneeling form, widened his eyes in shock when I effortlessly lifted him.

"Show some dignity," I said as I patted his knees from a non-existent dirt.

"B-But, I'm supposed to kneel to show my sincerity!" Wallace hastily retorted, drawing strange looks from me and Balthazar.

"…Our cultures are kind of different. To us, a simple bow is enough to show sincerity, and kneeling to someone means you're acknowledging them as your master or teacher." I calmly explained to him, making him blush out of embarrassment.

"I-I see. Please forgive me." Wallace scratched his cheek and instead of kneeling when apologizing, he simply bowed his waist this time.

"Please. I beg of you, to the deepest part of my heart. Take our kind under your wing for protection. At least until we can stand on our own again." Wallace proposed again.

"….100 years." I simply said as I materialized a contract out of thin air and presented it to him.

Then I explained as Wallace skims over the contract.

"For 100 years. I'll protect you from the vampires and other races that are hostile to you for as long as you don't initiate the fight with them. In exchange, you'll join and follow me in protecting humans from the Supernatural side of the world until the end of the 100-year contract." I summarized the contents of the contract to him.

Of course, in the contract, there are clauses such as harming me and those in my interests would not only break the contract but forever make Wallace under me without any conditions. In other words, Wallace wouldn't die but become my slave.

Both Wallace and Lupus took their time skimming through the contract and making sure it was balanced before Wallace nodded his head in agreement.

"Where do I sign?" He asked.

"Simply drop your blood on the contract," I instructed him and once he had done that, I took back the contract and dropped my own blood.

Similar to the contract I made for the vampires, the slave punishment is only applicable to Wallace, not me.

"Then, welcome aboard, werewolves. Just tell Balthazar here the location of your settlement and he'll fetch the rest of your pack." I gave the nod to Balthazar who responded in kind before leaving.

"Thank you, Sorcerer Supreme!" While leaving, I heard Wallace yell for the last time.

I waved my hand without looking back.

I went to the study room to study the remaining books that Merlin had written about runes while waiting for Balthazar to do the task I gave him.

Knock! Knock!

Opening the door with a wave of my hand, Balthazar stood in front of the door outside.

"They're ready, master," Balthazar said as he stared at me.

"Then, let's go and not keep them waiting," I said while placing the notebook that I was reading on the table and proceeded to follow him outside.

Arriving at the wide hall, I stayed on the landing of the stairs and looked down upon the hundred wizards looking up at me.

"I know this may come as a sudden to some of you who were busy training but I have an important announcement to make." I amplified my voice with magic, catching their attention.

"All of you know that tomorrow will mark as the beginning of the Great War. No one knows how long this will last but we only have one goal in this war." I exhaled and inhaled before shouting.

"THAT IS. TO PROTECT HUMANITY! Behind us stands the defenseless humans and it is our job to make sure they get the least casualties from this war!" I was speaking casually and just below yelling, it is only thanks to the amplification magic that my voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.

Then I continued.

"That's why I want all of you to dedicate your hearts to our goal! Protect our future!" I raised my hand and said for the last time, this time, I yelled, further enhancing the loudness of my voice when combined with the amplifier.

"HOOOOOHHH!!" The wizards, regardless of whether they were young or old, man or female, all yelled at the top of their lungs, their blood boiling, energy being rejuvenated for some reason.

'Damn. The new spell is effective!' In the meantime, in my mind, I was amazed by the effects of my newly created spell that not only can magically make my voice louder without having to yell but it could also increase the morale of my allies and even instill fear in those I consider as my enemy.

All in all, it's a useful spell to have as a leader.

After giving a few more minutes of inspirational speech, the crowd finally dispersed but this time, determination and resolve gripping their hearts.

With that done, I returned to the Sanctum Sanctorum, in my personal training room.

This training room has a variety of enchanted steel weapons of different kinds, magic dummies that can fight and as strong as a High-class devil, and many more.

"Time to test my new body, I guess," I whispered under my breath as the first test I did was to unfurl my wings.

The first thing that I noticed was the quantity.

Instead of the usual two pairs of wings, I now have six pairs of wings, totaling 12 wings overall.

My eyes widened in surprise at this scene.

Literally. My face looks like the surprised face of the Pikachu meme.

Aside from the quantity, the quality is also different.

Previously, my wings had a tinge of purple from the tip of each feather but now, everything is dark violet, almost black but you can still see the hint of violet.

"What the fuck is this?" I unconsciously blurted out in shock.

I fluttered them a few times, taking in the feeling of their lightness, despite their large size, they're surprisingly very light, almost as if I'm just carrying a single feather on my back.

I was, after all, expecting some sort of pressure on my back.

Minutes passed and after growing bored with my wings but taking note of its enhanced flight capabilities and toughness that has the same durability as my own skin, I shifted my turn to the new energy inside me.

On my left hand, a deep red orb of pure Demonic Energy floats harmlessly while raising my right hand conjured a pure and shiny dirty white orb floating the same as the Demonic Energy.

'Hmm, that's weird, I was expecting a pure white but it's dirty. Is it because of my Corrupted Angel blood? Is that the reason?' I muttered under my breath, the Holy Energy orb looks like that glass of milk that has too much brown sugar.

Still, I can feel the holiness in it, almost on par with what I felt about Michael when I last met him.

'Time for some experiments.' I muttered under my breath with a grin on my face as the orb of Demonic Energy vanished and the orb of Holy Energy slowly morphed and turned into the shape of a spear.

I threw it towards the immobile dummy and it easily pierced through its chest but not enough to penetrate.

Well, that was already more than what I expected, so I wasn't disappointed, in fact, I'm amazed that my first Holy Spear was this strong.

Was it because I'm an Ultimate-class being?

You heard me right, I'm now a certified Ultimate-class being, and I'm now among the strongest beings in the universe, or at least in this universe.

I'm not sure how strong Gods like Zeus are but I'll put them on the same level as Lucifer, a peak or beyond Ultimate-class beings.

According to the books I read, my estimate on the strength of Ultimate-class beings is that they're capable of destroying Kingdoms by themselves with pure ease, much more if they're beyond Ultimate-class in strength.

Does that mean I am now capable of destroying a Kingdom all by myself with a flick of my finger? Yes, possible.

But still, just because my strength is Ultimate-class doesn't mean I'm strong as one.

Wrong.

I'm stronger than one! With both my more than two Magic Systems and a holder of Demonic Energy and Holy Energy, which are both strong in their own right, I can hold my ground against Lucifer, and with my Longinus in the fray, maybe it would take the four Satans themselves to have a chance against me.

Keyword there, 'Maybe'.

I have many tricks up in my sleeve and I won't be revealing then anytime soon unless I'm in a pitch.

I continued exploring with my new body and discovered a few things.

First of all, my body is now stronger than my previous one, I'm not sure if it is because I'm now an Ultimate-class or simply because the body of an angel is stronger than a devil, I think it is a bit of both.

Second, my previous weaknesses such as being very vulnerable to anything Holy such as the Holy Energy or items enchanted with holiness is now gone.

I'm literally a being with no weaknesses now. I can sin just fine and suffer no consequence unlike pure Angels.

A perfect being perhaps?

Nah, I'm still far from it, I still have qualities that I'm lacking.

Last but not the least, my height actually increased which I just noticed now.

I'm not sure why though.

So far, these are the things that I gained. Although I can't exactly use Holy Energy to create spells using imagination like the Demonic Energy but it's still useful nonetheless especially since I'm going on a path where I'll make many enemies and most of them would be dark creatures like vampires and such.

All in all, I like the changes in my body and I'll give it a rate of a 5 star review.
