Mob war (Part 1)

Manu: "And with all the information that Broker gave us, we could immediately start an operation, SAC Jenap."

Jenap: "Can we? We still have to wait for the green light, and you know that."

Manu: "Sorry, but I think I didn't hear correctly. Why do we have to wait for a green light with all the information we have?"

Jenap: "Because if everything is true that Broker had said, this 'mess' isn't just only a mess; it's way bigger than we thought."

Manu: "This doesn't make any sense."

Jenap: "It doesn't have to be, special agent Rapida; the only thing that has to make sense for you is your mission, which you successfully ended. You can take the rest of your day off; that's an order."

Manu is left confused, not knowing why the ICD won't make any move now.

Special agent in charge Jenap is a lady with power and seriousness; doing a move against her will, basically means you are trying to get fired, but Manu's ego won't just let him 'take the rest of the day off'; after all, he just ran all the way from Broker's yacht to the ICD outpost, 8 miles from the Tsukikawa harbor.

Should he listen to his heart and take matters into his own hands? Or to his mind, which shouts to stay on standby and take the rest of the day off.

Manu hates to decide between two things that are clearly the right things to do.

Manu: "I hate it; this is not fair; people will die if the ICD takes too long."

Manu uses his super speed to quickly leave the outpost without anyone noticing.

Manu: "If I stay hidden at least, SAC Jenap will never find out that I was ignoring her order."

…

???: "So, the ICD got Broker and dismantled his 'Underwire'?"

???: "Yes, correct, the border baron should have given you all the information needed, right? Yuri of Shadows"

Yuri: "Yes indeed, and you are the base commander that got hit pretty hard, right?"

Dons: "Base commander Dons, yes. I don't work with mercenaries, but since it is a direct order, I have no other choice."

Yuri: "We will have a great time together, Dons."

Yuri, the stunning mercenary dressed in pitch black, and the dangerously looking base commander, Dons, who has been overwhelmed by Manu once, are now forced to work together to complete the task they have been ordered to: win the conflict of the Tsukikawa harbor for the Crimson Court.

Manu has found himself in the Tsukikawa harbor, spying on a potential crime scene.

Angelini, the Godfather himself, an elderly man with grey hair, and his mob are expecting a shipment that is supposed to be stolen substances.

Manu takes out a camera, photographing Angelini and the mobsters before the ship with the supposed substances arrives.

Mobster (1): "Sir, the ship has just arrived; we will bring the container instantly."

Angelini: "Tell them they should hurry; I don't have the whole day; it's my granddaughter's birthday, you idiot."

Angelini's face turns red from anger, hitting the mobster with his walking stick.

Mobster (1): "Yes, the container will be here shortly."

After a while, Manu has fallen asleep, bored from the waiting for something to happen; he didn't notice the time that flew away while he slept.

Manu: "Did I, did I fall asleep?"

Manu slowly opens his eyes, seeing the sky that's slowly getting darker. Realizing that he missed the potential crime scene, he quickly looks if they are still on the same spot.

There he notices the true crime scene that had occurred. A bloodbath and corpses everywhere, all of them being the mobsters.

Manu: "Oh shit… What happened here?"

Manu quickly gets down from the container he had been spying from, observing it from close.

Manu: "What the…most of those guys are missing limbs?"

Manu notices something else: none of the corpses are Angelini.

Manu: "He did say that it's his granddaughter's birthday, but then why were his men still here?"

He then notices the empty container that wasn't there before he fell asleep.

Manu: "Inside of this were the stolen substances, so Angelini was still here when they were attacked, so he either escaped or he has been abducted. But who were the abductors?"

Manu quickly runs the whole area to look for any more clues, but finds nothing.

Manu: "Whoever attacked them was a pro, so probably a mercenary, but who sent him? An enemy of Angelini? Another mob?"

Not only is Manu known as the Silver Flash, but under his peers he is also known as a really good investigator; thanks to his 'Speed Awakening,' he is able to process information quickly.

Manu: "But why would I abduct a mob boss and not kill him directly to get money? Revenge? Information? Or just to torture him. As a mercenary, I wouldn't abduct someone for money only if the order is to do so, but why the mob boss and not one of his family members? I could have gotten the information directly in the same place, so it's revenge or torture."

Manu: "I have to find him quickly."

…

Yuri: "Dons, look who I brought."

Yuri drags a tied-up Angelini behind her before sitting him on a chair inside of a dark room.

Dons: "So Angelini's mob will end today, but first I have to take my revenge on him for sending one of his men to infiltrate my base."

Yuri: "Then let us hear what he has to say."

Yuri gets close to the tied-up Angelini, ripping away the tape that had closed his mouth and prevented him from talking.

Angelini takes many deep breaths with his mouth after the tape has been ripped off his mouth before speaking out loud.

Angelini: "You crazy son of a bitch, who do you think I am? I am Angelini, the Godfather.

Dons takes his gun and hits Angelini against his head with it.

Dons: "Shut up and tell me who you sent to infiltrate my base."

Angelini: "Send? You have the wrong guy. I sent no one to infiltrate you; I don't even know who you guys are."

Dons: "Stop lying; was it a mercenary? I want to take out revenge directly on him after I finish with you."

Angelini: "But I swear, I don't know who attacked you; just let me free, and I will forget all this, deal?"

Yuri: "What if he is right? And the person that attacked you was someone else?"

Dons: "Was it someone from the ICD then?"

Yuri: "I heard that they have a hidden outpost somewhere here where they also hold Broker."

Manu, who had been listening for a while now, just realized the damage he caused.

Manu: "I have to stop them."
