Hearing Obito's words, Onoki frowned and asked, "'Eye of the Moon'? What exactly is that?"
"It's a bit complicated to explain," Obito replied as he sat casually on a nearby table, ignoring the hostile stares directed at him. "Let's start with the Sage of the Six Paths..."
He then recounted the history of the Sage of the Six Paths, the original Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, and how the Nine Tailed Beasts had been split off from the Ten-Tails.
"By combining the power of the Nine Tailed Beasts, the Ten-Tails can be revived. As its Jinchuriki, I will project my infinite pupil power onto the moon, casting a genjutsu over the entire world. Everyone will fall into an eternal dream. No more conflict. No more pain. Just peace."
"Stop dreaming!"
Before Obito could gauge their reactions, the ceiling above him shattered. With a loud crash, Tsunade dropped straight onto his position, her hand and foot smashing into the floor with crushing force.
Boom! The impact sent shockwaves through the entire room. Splintered wood and rubble flew in all directions as cracks spiderwebbed across the floor, and the building groaned under the pressure.
But Obito had already activated Kamui, phasing out of Tsunade's reach. He reappeared a short distance away, glaring at her with surprise.
Tsunade?! Didn't they already leave? Could it be…
Before he could finish his thought, a cold hand pierced through where his body should have been. Though the attack didn't harm him due to Kamui, it unnerved him. His worst fear was now playing out.
He's forcing me to keep using Kamui...
Kirito stood silently, fingers poised to strike like a coiled snake. His expression was calm, yet his relentless pursuit put Obito on edge.
In the original timeline, Konan had revealed the key weakness of Kamui at the cost of her life: if Obito remained intangible for extended periods, he could only maintain it for a maximum of five minutes. To escape, he had to briefly materialize when phasing himself into the Kamui dimension.
Kirito knew this weakness well. By forcing Obito to stay intangible, he would inevitably expose a window of vulnerability.
Seeing this, Obito jumped back, trying to widen the distance between them. Yet no matter how he dodged, Kirito's strikes relentlessly pursued him. Obito couldn't cancel Kamui, not for a second.
"Why is he dodging if physical attacks don't work?" Ay muttered in confusion.
"Not necessarily," Onoki replied, observing closely. "If physical attacks were meaningless, he wouldn't need to evade. There's a reason for this."
Kakashi, watching the battle with his Sharingan active, added, "It's the same technique I've seen before—intangible, untouchable. But if he's still dodging, then either his duration is limited, or he can't take too many hits."
Gaara nodded. "Two possibilities: either his invulnerability has a time limit, or there's a limit to how many attacks he can phase through."
Ay's eyes flashed with resolve. "Then let's test it. Darui, get down there and help that white-eyed brat!"
"Yeah, yeah..." Darui sighed, unsheathing his massive sword as he rushed into the fray.
"Mist Village won't be left behind. Chojuro, show them our strength!" Terumi Mei commanded.
"Yes, ma'am!" Chojuro, wielding the bandaged Hiramekarei, leapt into battle, his resolve burning.
"Damn it," Obito muttered, realizing he was now being pressured on all sides. "How did they see through Kamui's limits so quickly?"
Kurotsuchi and Kankuro soon joined in, unleashing their jutsu and puppets to corner him further. Despite his efforts to evade, Obito was quickly running out of options.
Obito feigned a dodge, baiting Chojuro into destroying a wall with his sword. As the room's structure crumbled, Obito used the opening to escape into the snow-covered courtyard outside.
"That idiot! He fell for such an obvious trick," Ao groaned as he watched. "Youngsters these days lack combat experience..."
"My bad!" Chojuro said shamefully, realizing his mistake.
"It's fine," Darui replied, "We'll just chase—"
Before he could finish, thick masses of white flesh erupted from the ground, ensnaring Darui and the others.
"What is this?!" Darui yelled, struggling against the tendrils.
The white mass formed a grinning head. "I can't let you hinder Madara's plans! Hehehe!" White Zetsu laughed.
As everyone else struggled against the bindings, Kirito moved swiftly, his figure vanishing into a blur. He reappeared in front of Obito, slamming his hands into the ground.
"Lava Release: Chaotic Hotbed!"
The snow-covered courtyard instantly transformed into a bubbling sea of molten magma. Snowflakes sublimated in the air, and trees sank into the lava, bursting into flames.
"Damn it!" Obito cursed, forced to hover above the scalding lava, his Kamui's time limit rapidly approaching.
"Is that… Lava Release?" Darui murmured, now freed from Zetsu's bindings by his lightning chakra. He abandoned his pursuit of Obito, unwilling to risk the molten sea below.
Seeing his options dwindle, Obito gritted his teeth and made a decision. If that's how it is...
He turned to face Kirito and charged directly toward him, his right eye glowing with Kamui.
"Finally running out of steam?" Kirito smirked, his frosty fingers poised for a final strike.
As Obito lunged, Kirito's hand connected with Obito's elbow, and frost immediately spread across his arm. Simultaneously, Obito's feet began to burn as his shoes made contact with the scorching lava.
Fighting against the freezing pain and the searing heat, Obito activated his right eye: "Kamui!"
The space around them began to twist and distort. Within seconds, both Obito and Kirito were sucked into the swirling vortex of the Kamui dimension, leaving the molten courtyard empty.
