The sky above shimmered with a soft golden glow, and the fresh air carried the scent of nature untainted by darkness. The collapse of the labyrinth left behind an open, serene field surrounded by distant mountains. No longer trapped in the suffocating corridors of the abyss, Kai, Selene, and Yami stood at the heart of this newfound tranquility.
Kai breathed in deeply, savoring the fresh air. "It's been a while since I've seen the sky."
Selene remained close to him, her gaze sharp as she scanned the horizon. "The danger has passed, Master, but we must remain vigilant. Enemies can appear anywhere."
Yami, still in her true form as a massive purple serpent, raised one of her eight heads, eyes glinting with curiosity. "This world is vast, but it feels... fresh. A place that has not yet been claimed. How fortunate for us."
Her voice was smooth and regal, her tone carrying an air of superiority. One of her smaller heads glanced toward Kai, her golden eyes narrowing. "Master, what is your next plan? We have power, but power with no purpose is no different from stagnation."
Kai glanced at her and then at Selene. "Our first goal is clear. We need to establish a base, a place we can call home."
Selene nodded. "A stronghold where you can grow without interruption. Wise."
"Then let me clear the land, Master," Yami said with a grin, her fangs glinting dangerously. "I shall carve our domain into the world. None will dare challenge us."
Kai chuckled, waving a hand. "Easy, Yami. We're not conquering the world just yet." He thought for a moment, eyes distant in thought. "But… having a place where we can train, rest, and plan is necessary."
Yami's main head tilted in mild curiosity. "If you wish it, I will build it. Trees, stone, or even mountains—just point, and I will bring it down."
Selene clicked her fangs lightly, a subtle reminder to Yami. "We serve the Master, not our ambitions."
"Of course, of course," Yami replied with mock innocence, her other heads swaying lazily. "I am simply ensuring we understand each other."
Kai shook his head with a grin. "You two sure are a handful."

Yami's eyes sparkled with mischief. "As you command, Master."
Her massive serpent body began to glow with an intense violet light. The energy swirled around her like a cocoon, wrapping her in dense spiritual threads. Her form condensed, her long body shrinking, her eight heads merging into one. The scales along her body reformed, taking on the appearance of smooth, pale skin.
A moment later, the light faded.
Before Kai stood a woman with long, flowing purple hair that shimmered like silk. Her eyes were a piercing, bright golden hue that glowed faintly with an ethereal light. She wore a long, elegant robe lined with serpent-like patterns, the fabric clinging to her figure like liquid silk. On her arms and legs, faint markings resembling snake scales could be seen if one looked closely.
Her gaze was sharp but playful. She tilted her head, smiling faintly. "How do I look, Master? Beautiful, aren't I?" She spun once, letting her robe flow gracefully. "I could turn every king and emperor to their knees with a single glance."
Kai raised an eyebrow, his lips curving into a half-smile. "You look powerful. That's all that matters."
Yami's grin widened. "Flattery will get you everything, Master."
Selene gave Yami a sidelong glance. "Powerful or not, remain useful."
"Do not worry, spider. I am here to serve." Yami's eyes sparkled with mirth, but her gaze shifted to Kai with seriousness. "Master, where do we begin?"
Kai folded his arms. "First, we scout. We find a good location for our stronghold. Somewhere defensible but also close to resources."
Selene and Yami both nodded in agreement.
"Then let's move."

Hours Later
After walking for hours through forests and rocky terrain, they finally found it—a hidden valley surrounded by mountains, its entrance narrow but wide enough to serve as a natural choke point. The land was fertile, streams of water flowed nearby, and several large, sturdy trees offered resources for construction.
Kai gazed over it, his heart swelling with satisfaction. "This is it."
Selene approached, her eyes focused on the cliffs above. "High ground for surveillance, natural barriers to limit enemy approach. This place is ideal."
"Shall I begin, Master?" Yami asked, stretching her arms lazily. Her golden eyes shimmered with excitement. "I can reshape this valley however you wish. Carve the cliffs, flatten the land, or raise stone walls. Just say the word."
Kai glanced at both of them, a grin forming on his face. "Do it."
