Chapter 100: The Secret in the Underwater Cave

"There's something behind this door," Reiji murmured in a near-whisper.

Without waiting, Reiji stepped forward and placed his right hand on the cold surface of the stone door.

Instantly, chakra began to flow from Reiji's body, seeping into the Fuinjutsu engravings on the surface of the door.

The dim light on the symbols began to pulse, as if responding to Reiji's presence.

"Hey, human! Don't be reckless! If we take a wrong step, we could be buried here forever!" The voice of Yamata-no-Orochi echoed in Reiji's mind, full of warning.

Reiji merely snorted.

"Calm down. I know what I'm doing," Reiji replied in his mind, though he couldn't completely shake off the tension.

As Reiji closed his eyes, his focus was entirely on the flow of chakra and the patterns of Fuinjutsu on the door.

The formulas etched there were too complex, even by the standards of the Uzumaki Clan's Fuinjutsu.

Each symbol felt like an interconnected puzzle, and understanding all of it took longer than Reiji had anticipated.

The Anbu watching over Reiji began to grow anxious, but they remained silent, entrusting everything to the genius young man before them.

After what felt like hours, Reiji finally opened his eyes.

A thin smile appeared on Reiji's face.

"I found it," Reiji murmured softly, more to himself.

With careful movements, Reiji began to rearrange the flow of chakra within the Fuinjutsu, reversing the locked mechanism.

The room seemed to vibrate gently as the Fuinjutsu began to react.

"Are you sure this is safe?" Yamata-no-Orochi asked again, his voice sounding lower this time, yet still cautious.

"We have no other choice," Reiji replied while holding his breath.

Slowly, a rumbling sound began to emerge. The massive stone door trembled, and fine dust fell from above it.

The symbols on the surface of the door shone brightly, and with a heavy sound, the door began to open.

Cold, thick air flowed out from behind the door, causing the entire group to feel a strange shiver down their spines.

Reiji stood tall, his eyes staring into the darkness lurking behind the door.

"Let's see... what is hidden here," Reiji said softly, but his tone was filled with determination and curiosity.

As they all stepped inside, Reiji and the Anbu suddenly froze in place, shocked by the sight before them.

What lay in front of them was astonishing, something completely beyond Reiji's comprehension and something he had never once considered before.

Hanging from the dark, damp ceiling were various large cocoons, swaying slowly as if blown by an invisible wind.

On the ground, right in the center of the room, was a Fuinjutsu circle.

The seal pattern was so intricate and foreign, glowing faintly under the torchlight on the walls.

Reiji stood in silence, while the Anbu behind him could not hide their shock.

"What is this place, really?" one of the Anbu asked with a serious expression, his eyes filled with vigilance.

"What are those cocoons hanging from the ceiling?" another Anbu inquired, his voice reflecting the same unease.

Reiji did not answer.

Instead, he scanned the room with sharp eyes, his face showing a high level of alertness.

At first, Reiji thought this place was a hideout of some Uzumaki Clan member from the past.

After all, Fuinjutsu was more commonly known as a distinctive art used by them.

However, Reiji quickly recalled one important fact: Fuinjutsu had existed even before the Uzumaki Clan itself.

As Reiji's gaze fell upon the cocoons on the ceiling, he immediately realized the truth.

This was not a hideout of an Uzumaki Clan member.
