Chapter 101: Reporting to Keito
This is one of the storage locations for Zetsu, a creature created by Kaguya Otsutsuki that has existed for hundreds, thousands, or even millions of years.
The thought startled and put Reiji on alert.
Reiji knew from information mentioned in the Boruto anime that the storage locations for Zetsu are scattered in various places.
The fact that this place is one of them completely took Reiji by surprise.
"Let's go right away," Reiji finally said, his voice firm despite the tension in his tone.
"Are you sure, sir?" one of the Anbu asked seriously.
"Yes... Wait a moment," Reiji replied quickly.
He then walked closer to the Fuinjutsu circle in the middle of the room.
Carefully, Reiji crouched down and began analyzing the seal patterns.
Reiji squinted his eyes slowly, trying to understand the complex and strange structure, then he closed his eyes and placed his hands on the circle.
After a moment, Reiji stood up again.
"We don't have time for this. Let's go now," Reiji said briefly before turning and leading the Anbu out of the room.
After exiting the room where the Zetsu were located, Reiji immediately reactivated the Fuinjutsu that covered the giant stone door.
A faint blue light briefly emanated from the symbols on the stone door before finally dimming, ensuring that the place was sealed tightly again.
Reiji wasted no time.
He then ordered all the Anbu to leave the underwater cave.
Tension filled the air as they moved quickly toward the exit.
Once they reached the mouth of the cave, Reiji set up a simple Fuinjutsu again.
He raised both hands, creating a large stone that emerged from the seabed and slowly closed the cave entrance completely.
Carefully, Reiji ensured that the seal would not be easily breached.
After confirming that everything was locked tight, Reiji felt a great sense of relief.
He led the Anbu back to the small boat that was bobbing on the surface of the sea.
When Reiji's feet touched the deck of the boat, he finally felt a bit relieved.
"Sir, what actually happened?"
"What was that creature?"
"What kind of place did we just enter?"
"Is it so serious that you had to seal it twice?" one of the Anbu asked, his tone filled with curiosity yet tinged with tension.
Reiji paused for a moment, staring sharply into the eyes of the Anbu. "...For now, you don't need to know."
"Let's go back first. I will report everything to the Clan Head," Reiji replied in a flat yet firm tone.
"Understood," the Anbu replied in unison, nodding their heads respectfully.
The journey back to Uzushio Island took place in a silence filled with caution.
When they finally arrived, Reiji quickly stepped toward Keito's residence.
Reiji's steps were heavy, as if carrying a burden that was hard to express in words.
Keito, who was sitting in his room, immediately stood up upon seeing Reiji enter.
Keito's face showed a serious expression.
"How is it, Reiji?" Keito asked in a firm tone, his eyes observing Reiji's every move.
"Uncle..." Reiji opened his mouth, but before he could explain further, he swept his gaze around the room.
Reiji's face turned serious.
With a skilled hand movement, Reiji activated the Sound-Sealing Fuinjutsu, causing glowing symbols to appear on the walls of the room.
The room was now completely isolated from outside sounds.
Keito furrowed his brows, surprised by Reiji's cautious actions.
"So, what is really going on, Reiji?" Keito asked, his tone becoming increasingly serious, as if he already sensed that the news to be delivered was something heavy.
"We managed to enter the underwater cave. As we stepped inside, I immediately realized that the entire cave was filled with certain Fuinjutsu."
