Military base

The military base stood tall with soldiers on all end patrolling with their advanced weapons. Zosia glanced out at the rows of arms soldiers guarding the gates and as the large gates open she was welcome with the sight of more soldiers patroling

"Commander, Cedric" Harper saluted as the military jeep passed the protocol check point "You look even more excited than the commander" Tyler rolled his eyes at Harper's wide grin "I wouldn't dare" Harper scratched his head awkwardly, his eyes wandered into the car a glimpse of Zosia's side profile before the jeep drove into the military compound

And damn! He was stunned

That side profile was so angelic

"If that's commander's wife….. war might break out soon" one of the soldiers whispered as they watched the jeep disappear from their sight

The military compound was large and vast spanning over hundred kilometers. The living area was further into the military base which took over twenty minutes to reach by car. And after what seemed like an eternity they alas arrived the military living quarters

"We'll see you later general" Cedric and Tyler waved as they got out of the car and walked to their units, the units were made of large buildings divided into various floors

Riezekiel shut the jeep and led Zosia through the security check point then to the elevator and up the 10th floor of twenty floors.

There was less people outside due to the darkness of night however the flicker of lights from the apartments were enough signs to know that apartments were occupied by people. Riezekiel swiped his card opening the sturdy front door which led into his apartment space "This will be our home henceforth" he said as he turned on the heater to keep the place warm "there's water running in the bath, if you need anything call me" with that said he walked to his study leaving Zosia in the unfamiliar space

Zosia examined the living space, which was simple with high tech equipments. The large screen Tv was the most eye catching in the living room the plush chairs with self heating pads and massage buttons were indeed comfy to seat on

She glanced at the simple accessories in the living room then she proceeded to the next room which was the kitchen. Which was well organized and minimal due to inconsistent use, the fact that Riezekiel didn't use the kitchen often was quite

Alas she sank into the warm bath tub, a content smile graced her lips. The warmth of the bath tub was soothing and warmth giving one a sense of calm

She shut her eyes briefly allowing the warmth sink in "commander" Azreal saluted to Riezekiel "mm…. Why are there so many anomalities on the expedition document" Riezekiel asked indifferently, his cold eyes like dark vortex's made Azreal step back partly in fear of what this crazy man could do

"It's your first day with your wife boss! You should better enjoy your time to bond tonight" Azreal pointed out the obvious seeing Riezekiel still so drawn with work.

"I asked a question! Do you take me for a fool now?" Riezekiel's words with deadly cold Azreal gulped "I have no idea…. The report was delivered to me this morning" Azreal's bravado weakened under Riezekiel's cold indifference which was chilling to the bone

"You're more inclined to gossip than doing your work" Riezekiel smiled, a smile which didn't reach his eyes. Azreal's legs turned jelly and he fell to the ground

This time he was really done for

What was worse than Riezekiel's smiling face?

He'd rather be thrown in the middle of a beast tide than deal with this mad man

"I didn't check...."Azreal's voice weakened towards the end, his whole body trembled in fear. He lowered his head grinding his teeth in anger

"So noisy" Zosia walked out in a loose bath robe, her milky white skin almost translucent shone brightly under the lights, her blood red eyes shone like death songs

Those pale white legs, the exposed view of her cleavage and that beautiful face

Azreal gulped subconsciously

This woman was too alluring he cursed

"You should go lay down you'd catch a cold" Riezekiel frowned at Azreal misbehavior. He wasn't a fool to know that Azreal had lost composure after seeing such a beautiful woman. Luckily Zosia didn't protest "mm" she allowed him lead her to the bedroom which was a large simple room with a large bed, closet and built in bathroom which was several time larger than the one she had used earlier

"That woman…." Azreal gulped anxiously recalling the sight of Zosia which was now ingrained in his brain

He was sure he wouldn't forget that sight for the rest of his life.

He sighed

Darting his eyes around the living room he picked up the document and begun to look through. His expression darkened the more he read

How could he be so careless?!

"You have limited time to correct that" Riezekiel walked out with his stoic face tinged with a hint of noticeable red which Azreal noticed easily

Who says his boss wasn't straight?

Maybe he had also thought so! But who could blame him when Riezekiel acted like he was allergic to women?

"Are you listening?" Riezekiel's eyes darkened seeing Azreal so lost in his own world "Ah…. Yes boss!" Azreal saluted sighing in his heart

It was rare for Riezekiel to be so understanding. Who was he to not take advantage of this opportunity

"I wouldn't want to disturb my wife tonight, she needs rest, by daybreak I want a standard report! As well as a detailed explanation on those anomalities" Riezekiel added sternly and Azreal nodded. Even if he had to stay sleepless for a whole night, he really didn't mind

"Yes sir" he saluted before rushing out before Riezekiel could change his mind "why are you running like you're being chased by a ghost?" Rico asked seeing Azreal breeze past almost knocking him a burly man over

"Have you seen boss Riezekiel's wife? She's the most beautiful" Azreal laughed loudly, patting his chest he felt immense pride having his boss "I already head it from the frontier soldiers.... Is she that beautiful?" Rico raised a brow knowing well how exaggerated Azreal can be he was skeptical

" I saw her with my eyes! She's like the moon goddess! Once she comes out you'll see she's the most beautiful you've ever seen" Azreal laughed in pride as he strode away with his head held up high "could it be true?" Ren asked as he glanced at Rico " more people are saying it then it must be true" Rico chuckled as he walked away leaving Ren on the spot

Riezekiel's eyes locked on the starless night sky, the weight on his shoulders bore heavily on him. He calmly took puff after puff of cigarette wallowing in his own misery

The night waned slowly, his tired eyes soon drifted to sleep.
