Taking a sip of the herbal tea, a smal smile graces her lips. The crackle of the evening fire as Athena and Winnie made the fire brought a sense of calm to her already chaotic mind

The thought of getting married had never crossed her mind, but now knowing she would get married to a stranger and have her life entangled around this stranger for a life time did indeed sound unappealing

"Sister in law, what's on your mind?" Leon walked over seeing Zosia so lost in thought he was worried "can I decline the marriage?" Zosia sighed as she twirled the tea cup in her hands

Her eyes held nothing but indifference which made Leon's heart ache for her. He wondered how she had lived before coming here, the sight of her unconscious battered figure still haunted him

Yep he wasn't as strong as his brother, he wasn't a great fighter either, neither was he the bravest but that sight was too much for him

And now seeing those eyes full of cold indifference, detached from all worldly affairs he sighed

"Commander Riezekiel really isn't bad. For a fact he's a good man" Leon replied as he places a plate of steamed buns in front of her

Unlike Athena, Winnie spoiled herself more and ate well hence this things were a staple to them. Zosia eyes lingered on the buns made of coarse flour, it did look okay but not as appealing as the buns Riezekiel brought back hence she share the three buns between Athena's children playing by the fire

"Father would be rest assured once you marry him. The commander's more reliable than the other men we know" Lester added seeing his brother so choked by his own emotions

He knew for a fact that Leon liked Zosia

But reality was not fantasy knowing well he had a wife and two children

How could he fancy another?

To this Lester wasn't happy with Leon. He only felt anger seeing Leon like this

"He'll be coming tonight, youu should prepare yourself" Lester added as he watched Athena skillfully knead the flour dough while he worked the fire "commander Riezekiel really is a good man Sister-in-law, you really don't have to worry too much" Athena assured her though she didn't sense any displeasure from Zosia

Who would be okay with being married off to a stranger

What she wanted was for Zosia to live a hood life with them but reality and life was different

It was no doubt Riezekiel had seen her body.

That fact everyone knew

"I'll get the clothes he sent" Leon hurried out to get the clothes from his father while Zosia took out a large bag of grain from her space

"This" Lester frowned seeing the large bag filled to the brim with grains "thanks for taking care of me" Zosia bowed to them both. Her sincerity made her hearts ache even more

"We can't accept this! Sister in law how would you survive" Athena argued "The military Isn't an easy place times are tough take it back" Lester added, he had already made his resolve not to accept a thing from Zosia

"If you won't accept the grains….. then accept it for the children's sake" Athena burst into tears at Zosia's words, her heart ached even more "the children don't need it" Lester frowned finding Zosia unbelievable "here's some silver, I don't have much but it'll be enough for you both. This time I'm really grateful to you both for your care" she bowed again before walking out

Her steps were heavy as she collected the clothes from Leon on the way and made to the bath house. She washed up quickly allowing the hot water cool her already tense muscles

Her mind was a mess as she tried to wrap her head around the whole situation

But there was no saving grace either

She'd have to play along with whatever life threw at her

With a sigh she rinsed herself and changed into the long purple dress, it was beautiful and ascented her curves. Enhancing her heavy chest and perky butt. For her hair she just let it flow freely after brushing through it a few times with her fingers them alas she stepped out

~Riezekiel had arrived

The sounds of their joyous laughter filled the whole yard "you're indeed humble" Lebron laughed as he patted Riezekiel's broad shoulder "you flatter me elder" Riezekiel chuckled, his voice rich and hoarse. His eyes however caught Zosia's form as she walked over in slow heavy steps

Her eyes were cold indifferent

Too cold it was chilling to the bones

"The bride is here" Winnie spoke first, her tone mocking as she stabbed the juicy steak in her plate, her smile a bit twisted as she glared hatefully at Zosia

Then at her stupid husband who had been sulking all day

"Zosia come over quickly, your sister in laws made a lot of dishes today" Lebron happily called her over, his eyes a bit unfocused having drank so much. Zosia took in their unfamiliar faces all Riezekiel's comrades in arms from their military vests

She sat albeit reluctantly but didn't touch the food. For the first time food wasn't appealing

She clenched her fist to keep herself rationale. She had found warmth and was starting to cozy up to it.

Yet now...….

"Sister in law" Athena called softly with concern seeing Zosia so cold "I'm fine" she answered through clenched jaws. Her words barely above a whisper "what? Does the lady have someone else she likes?" Winnie asked in disdain. Seeing that beautiful milky white face filled her with so much hatred

She really wanted to pick up a knife and stab Zosia to this Zosia merely raised her head, her eyes locked unto Winnie's form. A smile found it's way unto her lips one which didn't mask the ruthlessness and killing intent in those blood red eyes

But she said nothing

Hell would she exchange words with a useless woman

"I'm not hungry" Zosia added her voice slow and controlled as she closes her eyes

"If you aren't hungry you can watch us eat" Riezekiel's words shocked everyone on the table. They couldn't help but then to him in disbelief

Cedric glanced at Riezekiel's face feeling the urge to throw his dumb friend away "she's your wife not your surbordinates" Tyler whispered in Riezekiel's ear "what's the difference?" Riezekiel asked a bit puzzled "just have a few bites Zosia" Athena whispered and Zosia reluctantly ate some picked vegetables from the side

"Thanks for caring for her all this time" Cedric spoke first to liven the atmosphere "thanks? That idiot paid for consultation" Lebron stomped his cane feeling slightly unhappy. Even with his face flushed from alcohol he was still clear minded "elder…..!" Riezekiel's comrades almost fainted in shock

Riezekiel on the other hand sipped his tea causally like the whole conversation wasn't about him.

After a hearty meal the group were alas ready to leave. Zosia didn't have much all she had was already kept away in her space pocket

"Sister..."Athena cried in Lester's arms, her heart ached so much she felt suffocated "Since you love tea so much, this are my treasured tea's" Lebron handed her a large bag full of tea packets "I….I…" Zosia muttered unable to form any word. "Don't think this old is blind….. I saw the exotic plants! Rare finds they are" Lebron chuckled as he rubbed his beard

Zosia following her instincts ran into his arms, everyone was startled including Lebron himself in the end he hugged her back patting her back to calm her down

"Everything would be alright child... if the bastard bullies you come find this old man! I'll break his legs" Lebron said seriously as he lectured Zosia who nodded listening to his rants. After what seemed like an eternity Lebron let go of her, seeing those red eyes he sighed "Go now before I change my mind" Lebron turned away from her afraid he'd pull her back from leaving

Zosia made a round of hugs before she alas left with Riezekiel and his comrades in the military jeep parked outside

Lebron sighed with a heavy heart
