Chapter 121: End of the Main Story

At long last, the family estate was completed.

Standing before a residence even larger than the old Riley family home in Ravenwell, Lina Riley felt a wave of emotion. Meanwhile, The Princess Royal, who had a particular fondness for fishing, had deliberately set aside a corner of the gardens for a small pond, filling it with fish—and a few ducks paddling around on the surface.

The only trouble was, these were not the same two ducks they'd bought originally; those, alas, had found their way onto the dinner table not long after their arrival.

Just then, The Princess Royal had her line cast into the pond, though she'd been sitting there for some time with no success. Lina sidled over and noticed a plump fish lingering by the bait but refusing to bite. It seemed even fish dared to provoke The Princess Royal these days, for the princess's face had grown dark enough to match the depths of the water. Judging it wise to keep her distance, Lina stepped back.
