"Charmander might be the best choice…" Ash mused, deciding on the Pokémon that would receive the inheritance. After some thought, he chose Charmander.
To be fair, there were two options for this inheritance: Charmander and Pidgeotto. The Winged Dragon of the Sun God, while resembling a massive bird, was also a Fire-type entity. While Pidgeotto could inherit this power, Charmander was clearly the more suitable choice. Not only was it a Fire-type Pokémon, but it would also gain Flying abilities upon evolution, aligning perfectly with the Sun God's traits. Furthermore, Charmander's Mega Evolution X form even granted it the Dragon type.
Additionally, this particular Charmander had extraordinary potential. If strengthened further, its evolution into Charizard—often nicknamed "Old Spray"—would undoubtedly surpass its original strength.
"Alright, we'll get up early tomorrow for some morning training," Ash decided, setting his alarm clock. Afterward, Brock emerged from the shower. The two had a brief chat before turning in for the night.

The next morning, as the alarm clock blared, Ash woke up instantly, silencing it before it disturbed anyone. He glanced over at Brock, who stirred slightly but remained asleep. Quietly, Ash nudged Pikachu awake.
"Let's go," Ash whispered, gesturing for Pikachu to follow him outside. It was around 5:30 AM, and the sky was just beginning to brighten. The Pokémon Center was quiet, with only a few staff members on duty. Ash and Pikachu slipped out unnoticed.
"Pikapi…" Pikachu yawned groggily, rubbing its eyes as it trailed after Ash. The little Pokémon seemed confused about why Ash had woken it up so early.
"I've received another inheritance," Ash explained in a hushed tone once they reached a secluded spot.
"Pika?!" Pikachu perked up, its grogginess vanishing as its eyes widened in shock. It looked at Ash, stunned.
"It's true," Ash continued. "Just like the inheritance you received from Osiris—the power of the Sky Dragon—this one is from the Winged Dragon of the Sun God. It's another of the Three Phantom Gods from that other world."
"Pika! Pikachu!" [Amazing!] Pikachu exclaimed, understanding the significance immediately. It vividly remembered how much stronger it had become after inheriting Osiris's power. Even now, only a fraction of that power had been integrated, yet it had elevated Pikachu to incredible heights.
Ash smiled at Pikachu's excitement. "This time, I've decided to give this inheritance to Charmander."
"Pika?" Pikachu tilted its head, curious.
Ash nodded. "The Winged Dragon of the Sun God has abilities tied to fire. Among the Pokémon I've caught so far, Charmander is the most suitable. Plus, you've seen how determined it is. I think it's the perfect choice."
Pikachu considered this and eventually nodded in agreement. While it felt a little sorry for their other companions, Pikachu understood the logic. There was only one inheritance, and Charmander was indeed the best candidate.
Seeing Pikachu's approval, Ash smiled. He took out Charmander's Poké Ball and released the Pokémon. "Come on out, little dragon!"

"Char!" Charmander nodded eagerly, its tail flame flickering with excitement. It vowed to live up to Ash's expectations.
"Alright, system," Ash instructed mentally, "use the inheritance on Charmander."
The orb of golden flames floated from Ash's hand toward Charmander, merging seamlessly into its body. For a moment, there was silence. Then, a searing heat began to radiate from Charmander. The little Pokémon looked down at its belly in surprise. Before it could react, its body was engulfed in vibrant, multicolored light.
"Is it… evolving?" Ash exclaimed, startled by the sudden development. Even Pikachu was taken aback; its own inheritance hadn't triggered such an immediate transformation.
Charmander's small frame began to grow. Its features matured, becoming fiercer and more defined. When the light faded, a fully evolved Charmeleon stood before them.
"Charrr!" Charmeleon roared, its tail blazing with a golden flame. Its eyes gleamed with newfound power as the inheritance began to transform its very essence. It was now on the path to divinity.

Far away, in a chaotic, twisted dimension, an ancient figure stirred. The powerful aura of the Sun God's inheritance had reached its resting place, disrupting its slumber. Slowly, it opened its glowing eyes, gazing into the void.

The figure fell silent, deep in thought. It turned its gaze toward the one chosen to carry these mysterious powers: Ash. For a moment, it seemed conflicted, but then it sighed.
"The future is unpredictable. But one thing is certain… the balance of this world is shifting."
With that, the figure closed its eyes once more, retreating into slumber. The space around it grew quiet again, though an unshakable tension lingered.

Back at the clearing, Ash stared at Charmeleon in awe. He opened the system interface to review the changes:
