Chapter 132: The Resentful Pokémon

In the middle of the sea, a massive Tentacruel floated just beneath the waves, surrounded by its clan. Hundreds of Tentacool and Tentacruel hovered protectively around their leader, their glowing red orbs casting an eerie light on the water.

Tentacruel's gaze was locked onto the human trainers gathered at Yumachi Wharf, its hatred burning deep.

It had once believed in humans.

When Rampur was first developed, it hadn't minded the growing human presence. It had even accepted their company, allowing them to snorkel freely in its waters. Some humans had even brought food to share, showing their gratitude.

There was even a time when Tentacruel's own kind had saved drowning humans, believing in a peaceful coexistence.

But that peace had been an illusion.

One day, humans had destroyed their coral reefs, uprooting their homes with heavy machinery. Why?

To build a luxury hotel on the water.

Their habitat was ripped apart, their young ones displaced, and their clan driven out.

For a time, Tentacruel had been lost, unsure of what to do. But as the days passed, a realization settled deep in its mind—

Humans could never be trusted.

If today they could steal their homes, what would stop them from taking the entire sea tomorrow?

With that understanding, Tentacruel had begun to gather its scattered clan. It sent out a call, inviting more Tentacool and Tentacruel to join its cause. Slowly but surely, the group grew stronger.

And now, it was time for revenge.

The Plan & The Betrayal

Tentacruel's plan had been simple—strike before humans could react.

They had silently approached the coast of Rampur, moving in the cover of darkness. By the time the humans noticed, it would have been too late.

But their plan had been discoveredby a Horsea.

A single, defiant Horsea had realized what was about to happen and tried to stop them.

Tentacruel had attempted to imprison Horsea, intending to release it only after their revenge was complete. But Horsea had escaped during an attack on a cargo ship, warning the humans.

Now, as Tentacruel watched the armed trainers standing on the pier, it knew—

Their surprise attack had failed.

Hatred & The First Charge

Tentacruel's hatred was no longer just for humans—it now burned for Horsea as well.

A Pokémon had betrayed its own kind to protect humans? Unforgivable.

"STINGER!"

Tentacruel let out a piercing cry, the sound vibrating across the ocean's surface.

As one, the entire Tentacruel army surged forward, their glowing red orbs blazing in the night.

The Battle Begins

"Here they come!"

The moment the Tentacruel clan charged, Officer Jenny and the League fighters immediately gave their orders.

"All Water-type trainers, intercept their advance!"

"Pokémon on land, attack!"

"Rock-type and Ground-type trainers, form a defensive wall!"

The battle erupted instantly.

Water-Type Trainers Take the Lead

At the front lines, trainers commanding Water-type Pokémon led the charge. Pokémon like Gyarados, Starmie, and Poliwrath clashed with oncoming Tentacool and Tentacruel in the sea.

While most of the wild Tentacool were only at an average level, the trained Pokémon had battle experience, allowing them to stall the advance.

Attacks from the Pier

On land, Pokémon of various types launched a barrage of attacks into the water.

Electric attacks sparked across the sea.

Fire attacks hissed as they met the water's surface.

Wind, grass, and psychic moves created a storm of power.

The Rock-type and Ground-type Pokémon focused on defensive tactics, using moves like Rock Slide and Stone Edge to build a barrier of boulders along the pier.

The Initial Pushback

For a moment, it worked.

The first wave of Tentacool and Tentacruel was halted by the well-coordinated defense.

Ash watched as wave after wave of Tentacool were struck down, only for new ones to take their place. He clenched his fists, feeling an ache in his heart.

These Pokémon had once lived peacefully alongside humans.

Now, they fought out of pain, loss, and resentment.

Tentacruel's Second Strategy

At the back of the battlefield, Tentacruel observed the fight, realizing its mistake.

It had underestimated the strength of human-trained Pokémon.

Although it had more numbers, its army lacked cohesion and strategy.

That had to change.

Letting out a deep, commanding roar, Tentacruel ordered its forces to retreat—not in surrender, but to regroup and reorganize.

Some trainers cheered at the sight of the enemy retreating.

"Did we… win?" one trainer asked hesitantly.

But the League fighter in charge shook his head grimly.

"No. They're regrouping."

Officer Jenny's voice rang out through the comms.

"Everyone, prepare for a second wave! This time, they'll come with a strategy!"

The Second Charge

"STINGER!"

Tentacruel's second battle cry echoed across the sea.

This time, the Tentacool and Tentacruel moved in coordinated formations.

Groups of three to four launched synchronized attacks, combining their Water Guns into powerful Hydro Pumps.

The Water-type Pokémon defending the front lines tried to block them, but some were overwhelmed.

The Rock and Ground Pokémon on the pier took the brunt of the attacks, their stone walls shaking under pressure.

"Pikachu, Thunderbolt! Pidgeotto, Gust! Charmeleon, Flamethrower! Ivysaur, Razor Leaf!" Ash commanded.

His Pokémon unleashed their moves in unison, pushing back the wave—but the combined strength of the wild Pokémon was stronger than before.

A Fierce Struggle

Other trainers also fought desperately, using teamwork and strategy to counter the strengthened attacks.

The battlefield erupted in chaos—

Lightning bolts surged into the ocean.

Torrents of water crashed against boulders.

Explosions of fire and air sent mist rising into the night.

The wharf shook under the force of the battle, and smoke and steam began to fill the air.

The fight had only just begun.

To be continued…
