"This is getting really frustrating" Patricia fumed when another of her spells bounced off the red walls surrounding her.
"I don't know why I fell for such a cheap trap" Patricia chided herself before she sat cross-legged in order to mull over her options. Firstly, how did she get here?
The answer was quite simple; During the final stages of her battle with Wulfe, she had taken an opportunity that had presented itself when her opponent's spell 'missed' and thus left him wide open.
Normally in that kind of situation, Patricia would have happily fired a barrage of Order based spells but her mana was running dangerously low and instead she ran forward hoping to stab Wulfe's heart with a special spell that transformed her wand into a magnificent golden sword.
To her greatest surprise, Wulfe didn't even make an attempt to dodge and instead began to mutter a strange string of words that she knew could only mean one thing. The end of all this was her leaving a ruined castle to appear in whatever seal she had found herself in.
The seal was made up of violent strings of chaos mana that gave off a red color instead of the usual black.
The place had neither sky nor earth and so all she could do was float around and stare at its walls for the seal was quite small; probably no bigger than a barn.
Her initial reaction to the chaos spells was to blast it with the only force that could counter it; an even mightier 'Order' spell.
But to her dismay and frustration, the red walls threw back all spells fired at it. An act that would have probably killed her if not for the fact that mages couldn't be hurt by their own spells; reason being that every spell made use of one's mana which in a weird way could be likened to an individual's own life-force.
Eventually Patricia's mind drifted to those in the Phoenix, hoping that everything would go fine.
She also knew her only option of getting out of here was either for someone else to break the seal from the outside or for the caster himself to dismiss it, an option which was not likely for Wulfe could just decide to leave her there for eternity that's if time didn't work here.
"Come to think of it" Patricia frowned. "I don't even have a way of finding out if time actually works in here".
"For once I wish Clyde or Gerald were here" Patricia sighed, though personally she wouldn't have asked the two for anything unless her life depended on it.
Clyde for one was always being too smart for his own good and she knew that he always did things based on what he expected to gain in return. Gerald on the other hand was silent and moody not to mention lazy; it won't even come as a surprise to her if out of all the Supremes, only he would be nowhere to be found.
Leaning back and crossing her hands behind her head, Patricia looked upwards and just hoped that maybe Alicia's spatial spells could help follow the mana trails she had left behind. Which was still not a guarantee for her being found, for Wulfe might have placed the vessel for the seal somewhere very far; maybe on another realm after all Draghyr is one of the few entities capable of hopping between realms.
"And once I'm out of here "Patricia spat. "I'll make sure that I end that traitor myself and if the other Supremes ended up doing it themselves" She smiled a little as she said this.
"Then I'll make sure everything about him starting from his name will be forgotten for millennia to come".
...…..
"It's such a relief to see that you came out of that relatively unscathed" the elven queen smiled, tapping her fingers slightly on the armrest of the golden throne.
"Likewise" Emelda bowed. "To see that you are in good health mother".
"It seems you would need a guard from this point on" Flowyria sighed as she locked eyes with her daughter.
"With all due respect Mother I am very capable of protecting myself" Emelda argued.
"I doubt" Flowyria countered. "if not for Hamilton and the Superintendent, that loathsome demon would have made off with you, to the gods know where".
Seeing that her daughter was about to speak once more, the elven queen raised a pale hand. "WE shall not argue on this again".
Emelda simply bowed and with an annoyed hiss walked out of the throne room.
She was so annoyed with her mother's recent discussion that she had failed to notice the elven maiden bowing in front of her.
"My lady" the maiden bowed as she extended a brown envelope.
"Thank you Rose" Emelda smiled, collecting the envelope as she headed for her chambers.
After much walking she found herself on a white large luxurious bed lying on her back as she slowly tore through the envelope's brown wrapping that eventually revealed a golden letter sealed with a phoenix emblem.
Tearing the seal Emelda quickly read the letter before she closed back her eyes with a smile. "I never did say Thank you".
Flowyria meanwhile sat on her throne confused.
"What in tarnation would that dragon want from my daughter?
"I hope is not what I think" she shook her head before putting on a fake smile as she addressed the elven council members that had gathered in the center of the throne room.
The purpose of this meeting was to find out why so many elves had joined the brotherhood and also how they had grown to have such a large membership without any of them knowing.
"I sense something foul at play" Flowyria frowned, calling a maiden by the name of Rose to her side.
And then leaning towards the maid's ear she spoke "Bring my daughter here and tell her to 'listen' well to everything these old coots say.
The maid left with a nod and Flowyria faced the council, apologizing for the slight interruption and explaining that she had summoned her daughter to attend the meeting on the basis that one day Emelda would ascend the throne as a queen and it would be good for her to understand the workings of the kingdom as early as possible.
