Chapter 10;first day jitters

Tehila woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring in her ear, but it wasn't just the alarm that woke her up - Mylo was right there beside her, licking her face in perfect sync with the alarm.

"Good morning, Mylo!" Tehila laughed, scratching Mylo behind the ears. "You're the best alarm clock a girl could ask for!"

Mylo wagged his tail and gave Tehila a big, slobbery grin. Tehila giggled and hugged him tightly.

"I'm so glad we're in this together, buddy," she said. "You're my good luck charm."

Tehila got out of bed and headed to the bathroom to start her morning routine. As she brushed her teeth, she began to sing along to "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri.

"I have died every day waiting for you..." she sang, her voice echoing off the bathroom walls. "Darling, don't be afraid, I have loved you for a thousand years..."

She continued singing as she took her bath, her voice rising and falling with the melody. She felt like she was in her own little world, where nothing else mattered except the music and the moment.

As she got out of the bath and began to get dressed, Tehila felt a sense of calm wash over her. She was ready for her first day at Greenwood Investments.

She put on a black gown, topped with a pink jacket, and paired with black heels and a pink handbag. She curled her hair quickly and headed to the kitchen to make some breakfast.

"What do you think, Mylo?" she asked, holding up two different pairs of shoes. "Should I wear the black heels or the pink ones?"

Mylo barked enthusiastically, as if to say, "Wear the pink ones, of course!" Tehila laughed and put on the pink heels.

"I think you're right, Mylo," she said. "The pink ones will add a nice pop of color to my outfit."

She whipped up an omelette and ate it quickly, checking the time to make sure she wasn't running late. Her alarm had gone off at 5:00 AM, and she needed to be at work by 7:00 AM.

"Time to drop you off at pet daycare, Mylo," Tehila said, scooping up Mylo and putting him in his carrier. "I'll pick you up after work, okay?"

Mylo whined a little as Tehila dropped him off, but she knew he would be fine. She gave him a big hug and a kiss on the forehead.

"Don't worry, buddy," she said. "I'll be back soon."

As she drove to work, Tehila prayed silently, asking for a good first day at work.

"Please help me make a good impression," she prayed. "And please help me learn quickly and easily."

When she arrived at the company, Tehila took a deep breath and reminded herself of what Mr. Thompson had said during her interview.

"You'll be working in the HR department," he had said. "Your economics background will come in handy when analyzing data and making recommendations."

Tehila smiled to herself, feeling a sense of confidence wash over her. She was ready for this.

As she walked into the company, she was greeted by the receptionist, a friendly woman named Karen.

"Good morning, Tehila!" Karen said, smiling. "Welcome to Greenwood Investments. I'm Karen, the receptionist."

Tehila smiled back, feeling a sense of excitement. "Good morning, Karen. It's nice to meet you."

Karen handed Tehila a company badge. "Here's your ID badge. You'll need to wear it at all times while you're in the building."

Tehila took the badge and clipped it to her jacket. "Thanks, Karen."

Karen nodded. "Now, let me show you to Mr. Thompson's office. He's expecting you."

Tehila followed Karen to the elevator, and they rode up to the top floor. Karen led her to a large office with a beautiful view of the city.

"Mr. Thompson, Tehila is here," Karen said, announcing her arrival.

Mr. Thompson looked up from his computer
