Chapter 112: The Path Unveiled
Anita’s hands trembled as she pushed herself up with Jace's help. The glow in her eyes faded, but the memory of the creature’s light remained etched in her mind. Every nerve in her body buzzed as if she had absorbed more than just energy—something ancient and alive had awakened within her.

Anita shook her head, struggling to find the words. “It was... memories, but not mine. They were fragmented, like shards of glass reflecting something larger. A fox spirit, or maybe multiple. They were running, hiding, fighting.”
Jace’s expression darkened, and his grip on her arm tightened. “A fox spirit? Are you sure?”
She nodded. “Yes. And they were surrounded by Threads. Hundreds of them, intertwined like a web. It felt like they were trying to protect something—or someone.”
