Chapter 154: A New Dawn
The emergence of the morning sun came with the low buzzing the usual sounds of life in the forest. It was as if the birds had been singing in chorus, and the colors of the flowers had regaining their zest earlier suppressed by the grey sky. The air was cold as the morning dew and smelled like the dew that has fallen on the leaves.
It was a fresh new day, the voices of the villagers could be heard vailing hope all over the camp. She arched her back, feeling soreness from the fight day before but still bearable. Jace was seated in the same vicinity whittling his sword, and the sound of metal rubbing against the stone was rather melodic.
“Morning,” she said still half closing her eyes.
Nodding, Jace looked at her and then away. “Morning. You slept well.”
